I'm kind of surprised a stock boss only traps 113-114 mph, especially with a 1.8 60 time. Might be a good run for my brother's GTO if thats the case

He went 12.4 at 114 with a 2.0 60ft at LVD for reference. Would be cool to meet up for a few runs!

in summer air all I could get out of a boss was 113 mph.

Its got more in it. I ran my old 28 inch slicks and it really was dragging on the top end. I think i can get about 116 out of it. People who run a 26 inch radial with the track key seem to do about 11.70-11.90 at 115-118 with a good driver and decent air. So this wednesday we'll see what i can do. I was pretty happy with 93 in the 8th so i know its got a bit more.

We'll see what all they do. The camaro owner had a 5.0 with a kb on it. Traded it in on the camaro after hurting the engine.

Air/track is everything. My local buddy went 11.9 at 115-116 in 1200da done stock on just a tire. If thats the case... ive seen c6 z06s go 116-117 as well. Just like my that local GT went 12.4 at 116. Im willing to be that if Bloodykisses and that GT lined up. The Boss would pull.

Good runs.. friend of mine just bought a 13' SS 1LE straight off the truck.. flew to Ohio to pick it up. Supposed to head to his house today if the rain holds out to do a little photoshoot thing and show him the obdii bluetooth scanner and torque app I have setup on mine.

also like the 1le...well packaged car. My buddy i raced a while back with the black cammed fifth gens car might be getting pretty quick lately. He changed to a carbon fiber driveshaft, 1le wheels/r888 tires, and a 3.90 gear set. Should be a good bit quicker then last time. Hes doing ported heads and a fast 102 next.

Yeah, he got the 3.90 gear setup on his too.. said something about the tranny being geared and setup just specifically for the 3.90 gear he is running... not sure if thats an option on the tranny or what. Car looks good though.. just got back from his house.. did a couple of pics, but ran out of time.. and mine wasn;t as clean as I would like.. no time and possible rain etc... here are a couple pics I took of our cars mean muggin each other.

1LE comes with 3.91 gears.....buddy just put them in his cam SS.
they are standard gearing on the 1LE.

Yea I know...I would think that if the boss in question ran and trapped what it did at LVD, it would be a good match up for the GTO...considering the GTO also ran it's time at the same track. GTO also only had a 2.0 60 time where as this boss had a 1.8. I don't see much more mph coming out of it just by switching to a smaller tire. Maybe a mph or so, but I really think it'd be a good race for the goat. I believe the GTO went 91 mph in the 1/8, which means the GTO has a bit more pull on the big end. That gearing really helps those 5.0's down low.
