Default GTO vs 335i

My gto mods in sig vs 2008 335i with tune/intakes/water meth. I think it's 18/19 psi but not 100%. He ran 12.5@117, I don't have any times with current setup. I had a passenger, he did not.

Damn that was close. I love those 335i sedans. So unassuming

Btw, that second run he must have hit the kickdown on the gas pedal. In the auto cars there is a button under the gas pedal at about the 95% down that overrides the manually selected gear and kicks the car down a gear and then right back up. I've had that happen to me a couple times. Sucks when it does because you instantly lose 3 lengths.

It was a very good race, I'm really only counting that low roll, obviously the other runs were "skewed." Forgot to add, raceweight for my car was 3880 and his was 3700. My car should be making 450ish SAE so I would think that thing probably making 420-430? I would think.

Really nice pull. Sounds also like he's maxxed out boost wise on the stock turbo as well. Might have some more room going with a different tune and some adjustments but good kill nonetheless.

Eh, I don't think there is much left in the tune, I think exhaust work would be next. His car is faster than my other buddies auto 135i and the 135i has down pipes and FMIC (not sure that helps much though) so I think the tune on this car is probably pretty good. Its got some Alpina trans tune too thats supposed to be really good.

Real good race. Btw, think you guys will be coming down on the 25th? Getting my trans worked on now, so I should be up and running by then.

It all really depends on the tune. Not to say DP's and an FMIC don't add some power, but in my 135i for example just doing an e85 tune and intakes makes the car much faster than my 335xi with full bolt ons on 93 octane. Tunes very a bunch as well. On my sedan when I went from a one tune to another and then eventually custom flash tune, it changed it so much more than bolt ons would have. Basically running 12psi on 93, 15 on a canned e85/93 mix tune and then 19psi on custom flash e85 tune. Can you find out from your buddy any specifics on his tune?

He said its a vishnu reflash not a piggy back. He does have a piggy back but he said its just for controlling the meth.

Depends on the JB4 though just the same as the proceed. They are constantly developing the two. The original JB4 isn't nearly as good as the latest JB4 G5 ISO. Also fuel too. Some guys such as myself will just say it's a tune and intake only. Won't say anything about running e85 which responds so well in these cars that have little to no bolt ons.

This plus, the new JB4's are being developed to tune more in conjunction with timing. They are running more boost, with more timing, on even pump gas and making more power. Adding E85 to the mix will allow even more timing and more boost. BMS (the maker of the JB4) is continually making more and more and more power with these cars. The record stands at 469 rwhp on stock turbos, E85 mix and meth. The cars are down right nasty. The stock block record was just hit a few weeks ago and stands at 725 whp on a mix of pump gas and some 100+ octane fuel with a lot more room to go.

a 6spd 335i coupe with e85 and bolt-ons is sounding like a great freaking DD...they can be bought for dirt cheap now, super comfy DD candidate that can haul ***
