Smile real roush or not?

i was coming home from work earlier. i came around a jug handle and i notice a really nice blue mustang pull behind me. it had a roush windshield banner and it looked like a roush front end.

i pull away from the light making a left and hes right on my *** so i gun it. as i let off at around 60 he was a few lengths back and not gaining.

he flies by. car sounded nice. if he was on it all the way i wasnt impressed.

it was a 4.6 version im sure with just light mods if i had to guess. maybe a stg.1 package.

i was in my GTO which makes 345/340 on a mustang dyno so its not anything special.

It depends on the year but most stage ones and twos are mostly just appearance mods and suspension I believe, might get an additional 30hp..stages 3s get a supercharger but if it was an 04 or ealier they really don't make tht much power...I ran an 07 roush 427r from a roll and only lost by a car which surprised me..I coulda started in a lower gear so it might have been even closer

That would be a good kill if it were the 11-current body style but if it's the 05-10 it would have the 3 valve 4.6 which doesn't even break 300 to the wheels.
The new 5.0 makes obviously 412 to the fly so that would be a good run for you.
(I own a 2000 gt that is slow as **** I made 210 to the ground with an x pipe on a mustang dyno)

Mustang's before the 5.0 coyote are absolute dogs. Most LS1's and all LS2's can beat the 4.6, no reason to not feel proud, beating a smug bastard who thinks his shitstang is top dog because it has a horse on the front is one of the best feelings a LSX owner can feel.

I have a friend with one that is SC, don't get me wrong they look nice, but they are slow. He stated that he would have anything for me, I was on motor witht the old LS1 heads back then, but it was not much of a race. just me pulling away. The End.

If you get the jumped on any high hp car until 60mph you're going to jump out significantly, thus no real way to know what's up.
