The owner says he shifts it at 8200.

I like the fact that they actually put the right size parts in the motor to make big power. Most of the people that mod the SBF's put too small of heads, too small of can and not enough compression...a lot are stuck on GT40 heads and a teeny tiny alphabet camshaft and then top it off with too small of intake.

I find it hilarious GTR owners trying to say the stang has 1000rwhp on early pages hahahahahaha.

"two cars and the hit is almost a guranteed win against a rear wheel drive car on the street. That stang was probably making close to a 1000hp with nitrous. "

1000hp with nitrous??? Wow GTR people are the worst!

Seriously, there are a few cool GTR owners out there. But most of them should stick to there awd/paddleshift/turbo platforms.... because they will never know what it takes to BUILD a fast car. Let alone know how to drive one...

Indeed sir. I'm talking about the stock weaker 302 blocks which came in the foxbodies, not the mexican blocks or the 4-bolt main boss blocks.

Those GTR's with mods similar to the one in the video except e85 have gone consistent 10.1 at high 130s. That fox rode right by him like he was standing still. Just think about that.

Look what type of fox it took to get close to a bolt on GTR from a roll.

^That GTR is obviously way faster. The E85 alone is probably worth 40-50 whp

Over meth injection? thats pretty insane if its true. I know its worth a more over meth but 50whp? Pretty insane if you ask me. I still can't see that fox walking a 130 mph car like that. Its probably a tin can.

thanks man!! Correct me if I'm wrong but that's a pushrod motor right? If so 500rwhp out of a old 331ci is pretty damn good. I'm always reading that its hard to make decent na power with the older 5.0's. Seems like they have pretty good potential to me .

Yes sir, SBF windsor's are pushrod motors. Whoever says its hard to achieve 500whp n/a with any 302 based SBF doesn't know jack, jack. It's just that many people don't understand how to put together the right combination and I see so many people use heads that can't get the job done (like GT40 crap). A lot of folks will build a motor based off of hear-say and names (along the lines of, "GT40 heads or Performer RPM heads are the bomb"), and won't pay attention to specs and details. Toss a bunch of miss-matched parts together thinking you have a "built" engine and what do you get, the typical so-called "built" Mustang.

is it impossible? no. is it by any means easy? **** no. look at corral and see the 408 cars that have afrs and high ports and such make 450/470whp. the ones that make over that are not the rule. they are the exception.

500whp n/a 351 based SBF? I wouldn't exactly call that hard.

Sorry but this is the most retarded comment ever. Just because someone doesn't build a car themselves doesn't mean that they should only stick to that type of car. Are you jelly or something? I heard you tried to call out all the GT-R's in your area, even the ones who don't street race. Kettle meet pot.

Oh and also word on the street is the dude with the foxbody turned down a callout by a so cal GT-R.

FLAME ON!!!!

Well said. Couldn't have casted a better stereotype myself. I'll stick to easy mode cars, and you stick to being ignorant.

You probably forgot more about fast cars than GTR owners will ever know.

Do us a favor and define BUILD. And then define drive.
