2001 LS1 Camaro vs 2012 Mustang 5.0 **VIDEO**
Ran my homies brother 2012 Mustang GT/CS last night. Tuned only auto. Pretty damn good race... I had a passenger whos about 22x lbs Id say so I could def feel the extra weight. Its weird they both have 5.0s. The other is a 2013 that's a manual & stock which makes 384 hp & 356lbtq & I have NO problem walking him from a roll. But I just can't seem to pull it through for his 2012??!?! Totally baffles me. I wanna try doing another run with us minus a passenger & maybe with lighter DR tires instead of 28" and then see if that changes anything. Otherwise yea we will be getting some dig runs real soon! Just never had a chance
Mustang would reel me in every time around 110-115 mph.

good races, just power bands I guess. One of my best friends has a 2012 5.0 manual with Brembo package, Airaid intake, canned tune, full exhaust. the car freakin runs, but I was with him when a BMW M3 walked him (have no idea what mods the kid had). Also he just raced / lost to a Mercedes AMG 55 (again, no idea what mods) very recently. Losing to cars that cost WAY more + way more in mods is no shame. I'd love a 5.0 as a daily!

Yea bother guys in the Mustang are pretty light though... But still. & the 28s are def killing me from rolls right now. I plan on getting 4.11s to make that up. Would be interesting to see what some lighter DR that hooked would do. Because I don't spin at all with these tires! which is really nice haha

what width rear wheel do you have? The nittos are a half inch shorter then the mickeys. They are 27.5 inches tall on an 8 inch wheel. I mounted them to my 10s and they stretched down to a 27 inch tire.

Those tall tires definitely are not doing you any favors, but regardless you are doing damn good to hang with a tuned 5.0 from a roll with just bolt ons. I'd recommend you drop it back to a 26" tall tire. Nice runs!
