Dragstrip only goes so far, but at this even the second half is just a butt puckering experience

I guess it would be cool to see how fast u could get up to from a standing start in a half mile, I just liked the rolling starts at the event we had here because it was the only place u could do so.

Did u guys have an area to get up to speed before the start of the half mile if u did a rolling start?

Well you could do whatever you wanted. I did both.

If you did a roll, you lost 60-100ft of the 1/2 mile for getting up to your speed.

Yes we did. If you watch the video where I ran the supra you will see a set of cones about 100' out where we get on it. Very much like all the other runway drags that other places do. I know alot of people would rather do roll-ons at this event. I just did whatever the other guy wanted

Yeah, I guess there were some orange cones way back behind the drag tree line. I saw the Ferrari guys were staging there a lot. Never used those myself.

I hope the ferrari guys were less douche than the lambo guys on saturday. lol. Those that are the slowest and driving the most expensive cars sure do like to talk down to others and loudly talk about their lambo's

The Ferrari guys were awesome. We talked to them for a while at a gas station in the morning before we got to the airport and a ton a the track. The 458 raced my fried Randy with the white 2013 GT500 twice. He won the first round and the 458 won the 2nd time. The 430 Scuderia raced my friend Cody with the silver Saleen. I think the Scuderia took him.

I tried getting a race with both the 458 and the Scuderia, but I made the mistake of telling them what I ran and they both said they were too tired to continue racing and it was their last run. Then I went to the guy in the orange Murciellago to try and get a race and he acted like he didn't want to even talk to me. Just asked right away what speed I was hitting and instantly said nope.

I decided I'm sandbagging next year so I can race some exotics.

Just tell them you have a yellow camaro and point to your Z06. Guaranteed to get a good laugh or a race.

The exotics had their hands full for sure. On saturday they were not as impressive as the fleet of gtr's or the street cars like ours that participated. I think there may have been 1 UGR on sunday.

I know their are certain "Regal" fans that would get a kick out of this run.

c5z06 vs Regal

Regal is turbocharged and the vette has bolt ons

Regal in question.

The owner of the green Murcielago (got its *** handed to by the 335i) is pretty cool, however his wife bought him the car as well as the Ferrari he says he owns. His wife has a 04 Mercy vert in the same color.

Funny thing is that I was lined up to run the green lambo, but my buddy in the blue 335i talked him into running him so he jumped up in front of me and I got lined up with the c6z06 then. The lambo was running low 140's so if I actually got to run him it would have been far worse than the puppy kicking I gave the z06z

The guy is on a local board and doesn't take himself seriously at all. It's more of a joke than anything but the car backs it up
