That looked like a 02-04 gsxr 1000. Try with a newer one or with an s1000rr or newer zx10r. I'd like to see that go down. Fast vette for sure.

Finding one with a good rider who will play will be semi-difficult. I'll look this weekend.

I know you're a better rider than Frenchy but I had nice lead on his R1 when I was making 630 2 years ago.
Lets do that today.

Charge up the go-pro & hit me up when yall headed to Mc. Donalds.

isnt all the new bikes from factory all tuned down, i mean yea that wouldnt matter if you build the new bike but if you are saying a stock 2013 GSXR 1000 would out right destroy this vette id have to say your wrong because they are tuned down from the factory.

They are not tuned down, not the 1k's they aren't. There is very little power to be had with dyno tunes and aftermarket intakes/exhausts on them. Some / maybe all?/ of them with fly by wire throttles do reduce power in the lower gears but you can't use full power in them gears irregardless without a stretch and big tire. They are speed limited to 186mph though.

As far as the older bikes, a new ZX10 would absolutely destroy a early 2000's GSXR1k. make it look like a 600. ZX10 is a beast though, but even a new GSXR1k would walk away good from any older gixxers. Literally like comparing a C6Z to a C5Z or even a C4ZR1: times they do a 'change.

no doubt in that lol i mean i wouldnt buy a new bike if it wasnt any faster than an old one and yea i knew there was something that about the new bikes i was always told to get a 750 because they are some how the best of them all but idk ill let the bike guys talk that one over.

While I think he should have. That has no direct effect on his riding.

A lot of guys like the 750 because u can use the power to some what of its full potential where most guys on 1000's tend to back off in corners and such because of the power. Put it this way it's like taking a 800 whp car with street tires to a road course. Now say the same car making 500 ish would be more manageable around the track and most likely faster. But in reality it all comes down to the rider.

Ahh I see thank you i was also told to start out on a 650 is that good advise too? I saw a 250 and how little it was and thought to myself that would be a great beginner bike was told i would easily out grow it pretty quickly as well.

Anything under 900rwhp should be easy pickings for a stock 1000. Ho hate, I'm just saying.
Since when is 850Rw easy pickings for a stock 1000?

I guess if you are in a pig of a car... A properly setup 3100-3400# M6 car making 850Rwhp should give a stock 1000 a damn good race.

It might get jumped out on a bit but it will end up running it down.

This is coming from someone that just posted a video to prove what a well ridden 750 would do against a 650+Rwhp car.

It doesn't take 950-975+Rwhp to pull a stock 1000.

Don't bother with none of those sub 600cc bikes.. Pick one of the big 4's 600's and take ur time learning to ride it. Respect the bike and it'll take care of u.

I own the Z in the vid. And know the rider. He's about 5'9 and 100 pounds soking wet! He's a badass rider and from what I have been told he's got that bike into the 9's. it's a full bolt on bike. Not sure what year? And that was from 60 to 170. And as far a racing a newer bike. I raced a new ZX10 with a pipe and tune and a small shot of nitrous and went 1-1 with it at the TX2k13 from 80-180. David from 1320 was riding with me so it should be in the DVD. And BJ if I am ever in your neck of the woods in my Z ill look you up. But I am at the TX2K event every year. Ill be there next year. Try to make it out there and ill show you how I drag 1000's!!
