Maybe "boosted" as in "lifted". '85 K10 on 38's with a stock tree-fiddy.

Axles were custom from a v6 Gram Am and never game me any issues and the tranny was also a custom. The stock Isuzu tranny that the car came with was destroyed on a previous M45 S/C setup. The custom tranny was an LSD unit called and NVG T-550 out of an Achieva SCX.

Here's a couple pics of the old beast...

I somewhat get that... Im just thinking on terms of possible resale and starting platform.. Its alot of money to sink into a very limited platform/audience.

I think its cool to think outside the box but I dont think I could do it to that extreme personally.

I guess its on the same level as the honda scene though.

And you show up with a twin turbo 6.0 TA and a whipple cobra.

Did his Cav really threaten you that badly?
I was out for a cruise, stopped at a meet spot and myself and the '03 Cobra owner were not the ones talking anything up? He said he was doors with a pullied '03 cobra... we were fresh out of those, we only had a Whipple. Was I supposed to bring my pickup truck or disconnect one of my charge pipes? I'll let him know he has a defender on LS1tech The only boosted V8's i would ever expect this to beat would be a s/c 2v or something. This car is about as fast as a full exhaust MAYBE small cam F body, which i will admit is damn impressive for a cavalier. Props for everything but the lambo doors...meh.

Thanks man it was definitely a fun car and accomplished the goals I had at the time. Anything can be fast if you're willing to put in the work and time

I parted the car out when I was done with it and it in turn funded my Camaro turbo setup for the most part so I can't complain at all about what my return on investment was.

It only gets worse when you up the boost I'd take people for rides and spin em easily with half throttle. You learn to dance on the gas pedal because flooring it isn't getting you anywhere fast

Boost by gear, has it not made it into the domestic crowd yet?

Alot of things haven't really made it's presence in the domestic crowd when talking turbo setups. Trust me, I got some supra buddies that are ride my *** about using a stock pcm on my setup. I think I may pull the trigger on ProEFI to take advantage of all the slick features and safeties that they have, but not many if any guys around here use it. There are some guys running boost by gear but since i'm a stalled auto I don't think it's a feature that is as necessary as the 6mt guys.

My Eboost2 supports boost by gear, i just have to set it up and wire the microswitches. I'm just extremely lazy.

My DD is a 5sp 97 Escort 4 banger. Thing is sloooooooooooow. I try to rev it high to feel some kind of pull out of it but nope, nothing. The hardest pull I feel is when I turn the AC on. Feels like I put a parachute out back.

Not bad for the cavy. We have a guy at work that thinks his stock cavy is 300hp. He still cant figure out why he got walked by my tune and lid SS.
