I don't know the specifics on these two cars, but when people show up for a "street race" with their gutted, caged, bias ply, race gas cars with wheelie bars that barely idle, need a prepped surface to hook up, and get trailered there, I have to chuckle a little bit.

Completely agreed...but it makes for good TV I guess.

 

All our street cars roll on 28 x10's at biggest; they look like a bunch of old bracket cars made into "street" cars IMO.

 

racing on the street is alot harder...

a street raced car isnt automatically a street car
but its a whole new would trying to get your race car to do well on the street

 

If it's titled/tagged/insured its a street car.....

 

Blocked off roads and rented airstrips= street racing? Those cars are fast as ****, and I know these guys usally get down on the street, but this show is as real as operation repo.

 

yea, the show is fake as hell, and Im wondering how theyll play this one out for ratings. probably have the murder nova lose, then come back victoriously.

the cars are fast as hell, and they were all real street racers before this. it just seems so fake now. ill watch it though, cause its better that most of the crap thats on.

 

i now fast forward through a bunch of it , its too set up , and its seems fake , i wonder if it will make it many more episodes or a whole season .

Big difference between a gutted shell and a fully loaded street car. Just cause its on the public roads doesn't mean its really a street car.

When people talk about street cars in terms of "if its ran on the street its a street car" I just get a picture of some really country bumpkin with jack-o-lantern teeth yelling " yuuuu ken dooo it, throw that ******' pigskin"

 

Whew...glad you cleared that up. Murder Nova has two seats, and it runs on gas and can be driven where ever. Is it a daily driver? Hell no. But it's driven on the streets frequently

 

One thing I cant stand is their claim they have the fastes cars in the nation.. I know its some bogus Tv **** , but to make such a claim from a advid street racer is plain stupid. And to make it worst they only race people on a list. Sounds like need for speed most wanted to me.

 

There's been an open callout on yellowbullet for 3 years now for anyone in the country to come prove of us wrong. Only down **** to show up was krazy Kelly from Cali.

 

I said this in another thread, but the show is legit for 4 reasons. It's got fat guys in hoodies, alot of hype, drama, and fast cars. One of those is hype and they do a great job of that. Although i think too many panties get into a twist considering I doubt 99% of the people on this forum could touch that nova in it's element. Track, sure there are a bunch of cars here that would light his *** up.

 

There are a bunch of cars on this forum that run 4.70s? I can think of maybe a handful, but that's hardly a 'bunch'.

 

when i DRIVE my car from cali to kansas next.. ill call out number 10 spot..

dont get much more street car then 1500 miles with the ac blastin... i might lose but it should be close

 

We have a List here too, the reason is, is because the top guy doesnt want to waste time if you cant outrun # 10.

My take is, that as stated, they called out everyone, but if they TRULEY want to prove it, they must travel also, ATL has some BAD rides as does OK, however real street racing is on the street, i heard it was done on closed course or a strip, i have not seen the show yet and look forward to watching it.

BTW, GA passed a law a year or two ago that with a permit you can close a road (real street) and have a real Street race Legally.

 

I can't see any real car guys with half a brain enjoying this show or taking it seriously. Yeah the cars are stupid fast but theres just as much drama and b.s as any other silly "reality" show. I flipped it on for about 5 mins and had enough. The fact that it was on a runway made me lol.
