I am a little skeptical about this vid because a 997 911 Turbo with those mods should be a beast at all speeds, even up top.

seeing how fast an allegedly 600whp TRC GTR is against the same TRC 600whp ZR1 leaves me a bit skeptical with this run.
either the GTR is sandbagging and that's how it can pull the crap outta a same WHP zr1 despite weighing more (the GTR only had catback removal IIRC), or the Porsche with the same power doesn't roll out as hard.
does anybody know if the Porsche is manual or PDK? if it's the former I can see this run happening if the driver ain't that great. either way the 600whp GTR will rip both these cars' asses wide open
600whp >>>>>>> 600whp zr1 >>> 600whp porsche turbo
does same whp GTRs usually pull on a same whp porsche TT? assuming both cars are DCT equipped?

The question is...
Why is the in-view cam from the Porsche stating 650whp, and the TRC cam stating 600whp? Does anyone know what it actually is? Where's the Porsche's owner? What'd he say?

The problem is the PDK can't hold much power over stock. Thats why when you see all of these built up 997 911 Turbos they are all 6 speeds. From what I've seen though 997 Turbos with a good driver have the weight advantage on the GT-R. Powerbands are very similar so there is no advantage there.
DCT is bloody amazing.

TRC's car is just light and makes a ton of torque. Another thing is that he knows his car really well. His car can't make much power that it is making due to the limitations of the stock turbos. It's funny when people say he is downplaying his numbers when his car can't make more than 650whp. If he pushed any more than that his car would blow up.
