Thanks for the compliments and backup fellas, I was as surprised as you all that people are saying that the race was anything but a beat down. I mean come on, starting in 2nd gear at 20mph AND giving the hit? rofl

ZL1 are somewhere around 400lbs more then a GTO. I gave the ZL1 owner some tips that should help him shift faster, hopefully he listens.

Good kill OP! You would murder him from a dig on a good tire.

You keep forgetting that the ZL1 noob gave you MULTIPLE ''hits'' during each race. That cancels out the hit that you gave him, derp. And if he could shift worth a damn, those races would have probably ended up about the same, even if you started in 1st gear. If your GTO was so much faster than that ZL1, you would have kept pulling away, but you sure as hell did not. And you definitely won't ''absolutely destroy'' a bolt on C6 from a roll either. Would probably get your *** pulled.

WRP headrest mount. it's a long aluminum square front tube with a short square rear tube that clamps around the headrest bars. uses a camcorder tripod style end piece that allows swiveling and rotation easily. fits gto's, 3rd, 4th, and 5th gen camaro's and '05-'10 mustangs and probably a ton of other cars that use similiar spacing of headrest upright bars. Think it was 45 dollars? go to ls1gto.com and pm WRP about it: his shop now sells them for him but I forgot what shop that is.

outstanding mount, best by far of the 4 different mounts I own - and all the others cost more. very easy to mount/dismount and if painted flat black with a camera that doesn't use a (bright and obvious) viewing screen it is as good as invisible to all pedestrians and other cars, even without window tint. camera ends up around 2-3 inches away from passenger headrest at same height as that headrest: nearly invisible.

There is two groups that street race up here: testosterone oozing kids that do stupid stuff to show off and draw cops like flies to ****, and guys in there late 20's to 50's that try not to get busted and race discretely but will line up for random races if the "right time, right place" mantra is met. I get into 3 or 4 "encounters" a week, 1 or 2 of which might qualify as a race (even starts, running it out long enough to decide the matter for sure).

He's in the first group I mentioned above, which means he uses words like "derp" to try to sound cool.

right now I don't know. last dyno session was when I found out my MAF was having serious problems with turbulent air: from 5200rpm on power flatlined as the maf jumped rapidly back n forth from zero to five volts. It made 435rwhp.

I have a svede intake on order to solve the air cavitation issues but until then I taped off the bottom half of my air cleaner to give the air a single, straight shot into the maf which moved the maf cavitation trigger point up to around 6,000rpm. It will have to do for now.

Again, so you thought that your ''435rwhp'' GTO would ''absolutely destroy'' a bolt-on C6??? Holy derp.

Watch it, he might hunt you down and race you in his make believe H/C nitrous'd LSx that runs like 8s or something...he won't say what it actually has or actually runs, just that it has pretty much everyone "covered".
