PCM came back today. Installed it and fired her up… took her for a spin and I gotta say: IT DON'T SUCK!

But alas the track is closed, so until it re-opens…

Figured someone with a 396 LTx would be able to at least find someone tune it AT the car instead of in Jersey

To do that, I'd have had to have told you that 'I know SOOOOOOO much…', already. And that hasn't happened.

What's more, there's nothing huge about my cam and there's nothing wrong with a Mail Order tune, when the Mail Order Tune is all that's available and one is racing cars that don't warrant anything else.

I love how everyone is making it sound like some kind of race car, with an off the shelf COMP cam and the second smallest AFR heads .

He has a baby cam for a 396. The cam in my 383 is significantly bigger, as are my heads and so will my stall be once I get it engine dyno'd to see where it needs to be( ~4500 probably).

Besides the gears he's honestly a street car lol. I would throw some 4.10s in that thing and drive it to work every day .
