>IF< that was directed toward me… That car is full weight, minus the usual under-hood deletes; AC, Emmissions crap, Suspension upgrades and the 275 swale grabbers up front. OH! Can't forget about the rear seat-cushions, removed to make room for my slicks, jacks tools and of course, the cooler. But if ya need it, those cushions amount to probably a couple of lbs.

Added weight would include crap I carry, such as Spare oil and other fluids, and a pile of misc. crap that just gets tossed in and remains there until I am moved to clean it out. This usually happens in and around December… Other notable added weight, would be things like the D60 and the No2 Bottles sitting in the 'trunk'.

FWIW, the purpose for building the car was my entertainment. The car is, while not my DD, regularly and routinely driven on the street. I drive it to and from the track… and is no more a "Purpose Built Race Car" than is Lawheads pretty little Tremblenator.

If it helps, the 5.0; at least to this point, have not been competitive, or anything close to it. Now this is usually the point where such advocacies start pointing to bad drivers, street tires, etc., etc… .

All of which may be true, but such is part and parcel of that which renders them, non-starters, in terms of competing with the old Z.

I haven't glorified anything... What I did was post up a run with a brand new, well modified car, which I walked on a sloppy tranny.
