Well I more or less put I think in there because Im obviously not qualified in the experience department with Subarus. I usually butt in on Honda threads because of the same reasons you are here hehe.
But I always thought of IHI turbos as a bit less capable then Evo turbos so sub 400whp

Well like I said i'm going to get more exact details on his car when I see him. T. Man, it was at least two cars maybe more...kind of hard to tell when you are that far ahead that quickly lol The race was only from like maybe 40-100 mph. If it would've went longer it just would've been that much worse for him lol

the IHI def not on par with the Evo turbos, the stock sti turbo is 32mm turbo hahaha

sti/wrx stock turbo can trap anywhere from 112 to 123
ive seen a wrx vf39 internal gate e85 23 psi trap 121 running 12.0
he backed it up with couple of 120mph 's passes
Theres one guy from cali that did trap 123 on bone stock vf43 and went deep into 11.6
Record as of right now is 11.4 @ 116 all stock turbo ewg e85 22 psi
P&L went 11.6 @ 118 in a 2011 sti bone stock turbo e85
But also theres many of them in mid 12s with a low trap 112-114.
depends how healthy motor/turbo is and how aggressive is the tune.
Taking the stock turbo to 29 psi is just foolish.it will continue to make tq spikes but whp will start do decrease because of EG's so high.
stock turbo takes a nap at 23-25 psi depending on fuel you are using.Of course e85 has a cooling effect that's why you can run a more aggressive tune(boost/timing) than on race gas or meth..

^ But didn't you see, DSS obviously traps much higher than 121 (full weight mind you) because he crushes tuned GTR's.
Edit: just for fun I googled record vf39. The highest hp I could find was 400whp and that was a high compression built motor and the fastest time I found was 11.5@118. That was at Atco and the car had a driver seat and part of the dash lol.

Ok posting videos of your car, "Record breaking stock turbo car", and comparing it to someone with a mail order tune. totally relevant.
Real world, you don't see many Subarus wrecking havoc with minimal mods. At the end of the day, we dont know anything really about this car

do a lil more research who exactly i am, before you start mounting off v8eater
i was the first to ever run 11s on the stock turbo back in 2007, it took 3-4 years for another car to run 11s
that car that traps 123mph is my buddies car Rob, his tuned by the same tuner and i have helped him set his car up, just to let you know i make more power than he does
you seem so butt hurt cuz u know somewhere out there a stock turbo STi will smack your *** with ease roll and dig against that so called v8 you have on your engine bay
playing with trap speed game with AWD is lil messy, im sure you already know that the pass with the best 60th and traction it wont net you the best trap speed, but if you have somewhat a shitty 60th and traction like most RWD and FWD they will tend to trap higher,
that 11.6 @ 123 car is my buddies car, he was on stretch tires (car show car) on that pass, we are both tuned by the same tuner, and i made alot more power than him
