I figured with the weight difference of the cars, it would either be close or the 3rd Gen was going to win...more so I thought the 3rd Gen would win.
Good race and props on putting a LS into a 3rd Gen, easiest way to make a sleeper IMO.

Thanks! It was a strong cobra for sure. Seemed as though we were pretty even off the hit, and then on the 2-3 shift that torque advantage shined in the cobra, then we leveled off again. A first gear roll, or even a dig would have been cool too but we just didn't have the time or space. I think those scenarios would have given me a slight advantage.

Pretty tight race actually! I'm actually racing my buddy's ported/pullied 03 Cobra today (i'll post the vid on here later) and have a similar build as the Firebird above. Our weights will be very similar as I gained a 100 lbs with the iron block, and he dropped a 100 lbs with the solid rear axle swap. What kind of compression does that bird have? So the Cobra is still about 200 lbs heavier than you at this point right?
