Default Bad *** rematch! turbo 5.3 3rd gen vs modded CBR 600 RR **VID**

This is a local buddy of mine that I ran in the beginning of the summer. My car had the old turbo setup on it which wasn't ideal, and it would break up all the time in 4th gear. Also had a MAF tune in it then, and I didn't brake boost before when I ran him.

Fast forward to now....its running on 2 bar SD, changed out the plugs to BR7EF's over the old TR6's (step colder), fixed a burst knock timing issue, and it's got a much improved turbo setup. It's definitely a totally different animal now!

Anyways, enjoy! Mods are listed in vid.

Is his windshield blacked out? Looks like he can tuck lower if its not but other than that it seems like 2 stout rides!

You never had me, you never had your car

That being said, good runs! Those fixes/setup changes definitely made a big improvement.

Honestly not sure about his windshield. I didn't pay attention. He's def one of the better riders in the area though, and he only weighs maybe 150 lbs or so. And thanks man!

How do you figure? I'm making 540 rwhp and my car weighs 3540 with me in it, plus the 175 lbs passenger I had recording. The bike is also modded and 2003 was the fastest CBR 600 produced until recently. All things considered, I think I did pretty good against a well ridden modded 600!

And thanks everyone!

Car rolls out - Thanks for sharing!

Keeping up with a 600 is definitely not the easiest task

They're quicker than most people think, as PSM has proven multiple times. Any car that can hang with a modded 600 is a quick street car in my eyes. And thanks man!

Nothing major. Stock 5.3 bottom end, LS6 cam and valvesprings, 317 truck heads, and an LS6 intake. Pretty basic setup.

That was a nice run! When I had my cbr (a 2008), there weren't many cars out there that could hang. The one and only car that really surprised me while I had it was a boosted Evo with some crazy horsepower. You'd have really surprised the heck out of me!

Runs good for sure. That's about what I would expect in a car that weighed that...about what a Cobra would do at that power level against a like 600.. Give or take... All in all, not too shabby to contend with a bike.

Good running car. Turn up the boost, stay very conservative on timing and go wax that 600!
