Hmm Inharmonics sig fits the "description" of FastRThnU's "car". I'm not pointing fingers or anything but perhaps you can shed some light on how a 300whp Evo can make 30mpg? I would like whatever magical gas fairy visits you 300+ horse Evo guys to bless my car as well.

FastRTnU is a friend of mine, and tipped me off to this thread. He definitely could use a lesson in forum etiquette.

FWIW, I've never seen better than 27mpg on the highway. Usually, I'll see 23-24 in the city. My mpg is improved of what I regularly saw over stock, because of the air:fuel tuning in closed loop (leaned out). Heck, even in open loop, the car is more fuel efficient, as the achilles heel of a stock Evolution is the fact it goes pig rich beyond 5500rpm.

I have a huge appreciation for Ellis Juan (LS1)! I know the potential of the motor and certainly know what my car can and cannot do. I'd love a Z06, but sadly, its not financially feasible for me at this point in my life whatsoever. I have a good number of 4th gen Fbody friends and know a couple of Vette guys as well. Prior to owning imports, I had a couple of third gen Z28s. While they were good handlers, they of course had nowhere near the output of the 4th gen cars.

I don't race on the street, but have been to the dragstrip several times with all my cars. I've only taken the Evo once, and it was when I had $500 in mods at that time and about 35 less whp than I do currently. The car went 12.91@107mph. With the power I have now, I'd like to see about a 12.50@110-111 with a better 60' and aforementioned more HP. Mods now are a dyno tuned ECU piggy back, cam gears, and a 3" turbo-back exhaust.

Thanks for the welcome; happy motoring!

Allright.

I'm sorry for talking ****. I didn't mean to REALLY offend anyone, I thought it was just smack talk. Can I start a new leaf?

Why when we could all ?

My orignial post was just to razz my best friend who uses this forum, he has a SS. And to help him understand how to use the features of a forum since he had never used one before.

I like his SS, heck I used to have a Camaro.

I got a little crazy, sure. Sorry about those comments. I do like the Z06, I would've bought one but I needed something with more room so I chose the EVO. I know the Z06 is hella-fast, and would smoke me. **** they smoke just about anything on the road.

And I do have about 300WHP, my car has the same stuff as Inharmonic except I run a cat. Maybe that accounts for the extra HWY MPG?

So what do you say, am I allow one bad post, one mistake?

Welcome, both of you... Fatrthanu... glad to see you have wisened up. I know that I will have no real hard feelings, but I'm probably one of the most compassionate of the elite STF, so I cannot promise anything out of my fellow pitbulls. Nice cars you got, and happy modding

I'm not going to do a whole lot of drag racing, I don't want to destroy my clutch just yet. However, I'm about to get a custom tune and a couple other small mods. When I get those I'm going to go to the track to see what I can lay down. I'll post it and let you know what I get. Talking with others, at that point I'm hoping to lay down mid 12's.

Taking one look at that guy's mod list, I can tell you that HE's the one trolling you. Don't waste your gas; you'd get smoked.

Mod list, what mod list?????? All kidding aside, mid-12's is nothing to sneeze at. As a matter of fact, that's what I was running before I did heads/cam/intake/exhaust. Mid 12's @111-112 were the norm. In most cases, that'll take pretty much anyone on the street, especially in our area, as there aren't that many fast street cars as there are in the bigger cities. Good luck with your tuning and future track outing.

Good Idea.

Welcome to the board.

Also, to UnbelievabLS1
I am doing a 13.0 1/4 and with a T/C (3000 stall) I should be doing 12.5.

That is pretty quick with the minor mods I have and with only 1000.00 I will have my Trans cooler and shift kit and T/C. But, the EVO are nice...
