I just posted the facts dude.....no more no less. It's not even about one being better than the other......just a size comparison. They are monstrous motors.

BTW......it needs all those pulley's to run. You can't even really see the main drive pulleys. So if they would've been removed for the pic then how would that be a proper comparison? The blower needs that stuff.

Car will run with out the blower belt on....

The mod motor with nothing on it would have been a proper comparison since there is nothing on the LS.....

Do you mean fuel rail covers? Because the valve covers are on it already.

Ahh ok I see now, my eyes deceived me.

Edit: Everything I'm finding says it's about a 2" difference in height. Enough to make a difference, definitely. But not enough to call one "massive" in comparison to the other. Now width, the mod motors are definitely massive

did you convert the LS7 to wet sump for your build? i'm thinking about doing that to mine so i don't have to worry about mounting the tank someplace...

If your asking about the AWD LS7 Typhoon, some the list of custom items (including the wet sump conversion) is:
Custom long-tube headers (ceramic coated, phased to firing order),
Custom Dual 3" exhaust (mandrel bends, welded),
Custom oil pan, motor mounts, radiator, electric fans, tranny & 5K stall converter,
Custom fuel cell, electric pump, bigger injectors, fuel lines,
All Forged internals, custom cam, ported heads, ported throttle body
Fast intake/fuel rails, mini-high torque starter,
Custom Chromoly driveline, locker front/rear diff, Wilwood 4 piston disc, BF Goodrich Front/rear Drag radials
Custom tubular A-arms/Coil-Over, Custom rear suspension,
Momo removal steering wheel, rear mounted battery/exterior shutoff
While retaining A/C, PS, PB, PW, Stereo, and leather interior.
A cool upgrade was the Dakota digital/analog dash which has features (like A/F readout, 1/4 mile data, temps, etc).

Cool story......take your blower belt off and let us know how it works out for ya.

A modular with nothing would not change any of the dimensions.

Taking the blower off would give you a 300hp engine........it's already 115 down with the blower.

Does it look like 2"? The valve cover on the modular is taller than the intake on the LS.

No ****. Its nothing to argue about what-so-ever, the 4.6 modular longblock is massive in size compared to the LS longblock. Add intakes (or blower for the 4.6) and accessories and it only gets worse in size for the 4.6. For goodness sake, why argue about a simple FACT and make yourself look like a fool that wants to argue about every single little thing?

Nice pic the second time Hio. There really is no comparison. It's taller, it's wider, it's longer. What's the weight difference? I think that'd be most telling.
