Im purely talking about BONE STOCK numbers.
The car/engine will have great potential just as any other vette/modern gm small block.
Its already proving so with the gains from simple mods.

Its not hate. Its people being brand biased. Its a fast car.I just don't get how everyone is blind to how the tracks play a huge roll. One car goes 12.0 @ 115. The other does 11.6 @121. And both being autos rules out driver. The fast car breaks a record at cecil. No ****. Its cecil. But what will happen is someone sees the video of the car running at a glory track...and will completely discredit someone else in.a c7 because it runs slower somewhere else. Ill be honest..this is why I like vbox times. It rules out track advantages and tells you straight up...how fast the car actually is. The only way to ever determine how 2 cars compare is to either race them side by side on the highway...or run them at the same track on the same day. Head wind vs tail wind alone is a couple mph. Let alone if the track is sloped up hill or down hill. DA is only one of a lot of factors into a track. bottom line is stock...its a 3600lb race weight 400whp car. Lots of potential...yes... but its already being blown up and people are saying its going to beat a gt500 stock for stock. No..it won't. Not even close. Aftermarket...anything is possible.

The c7 isn't close to being as fast as the 13+ GT500. It is did some good times so far. 11.6 bone stock is good. That is a tenth faster then the fastest stock c6. And the guy that ran the 11.6 had an auto. And DA was near perfect. He even mention in winter with negative da he should be able to pull a 11.4-11.5 for glory pass. Still slower then the gt500 and lot less trap.

Hypethetical question. If I finish and dial my car in and run 10.8-11.0 @ 125-126 at ned. Then go down to cecil or atco and run 10.5-10.7@ 128-129. Which do I advertise? Because that would be about the difference.

I don't know that I ever saw somebody claim that, but that would be truly stupid. Thise new Corvette looks KILLER, and the tail lights might still grow on me. I still want to see one on the road with the C6 rear conversion though.
