Probably not, but 120 mph on the street is fast enough.

If you can pull the motor out of the Vette to replace it's rods and pistons, then I can send the GT 500 to Hio and he can hack and drill it down to 3000 pounds...

your right good thing the gt500 isnt marketed towards the C7

Either way, IMO it should be distance from a dig.

Cut 75% of the body off the GT500 and get it down to less than 2000lbs. See what I did there

The blower is available for the gt500. Not for the vette. And its a way easier swap then doing rod and pistons along with cheaper. The potential is really in favor of the guy with biggest bank account. But reality is mod for mod the gt500 will walk away from a c7.

Lol the ignorance in this thread is strong.

My 94 accord has more potential than a C7 because it's lighter and I can throw a built motor/turbo setup in the car...smh.

I'm with Evan on this one, his logic makes sense and is how I think about it as well. Mod for mod the GT500 will ruin the C7. Hell, do full bolt-on's on the C7 and the GT500 would still walk it with a mere pulley/tune EASILY. Lol. Idk how people can have such thick skulls. Wait yes I do, this is LS1tech.

We just said "let's go do a dig." No stipulations.

For the record though, the GT500 was ~1/2 car behind when we crossed the 1/4 mile mark.

You want to go there? Which is faster: a 1,000hp C7 or a 1,000hp GT500?
You already know the answer.

Here's your mod-for-mod argument:
Blower on the Vette and gt500, bolt-ons for both. Which is faster?

geez if the base c7 and gt500 are neck and neck in the 1\4, imagine what the Z twins are going to be like.

But who is going to say a 20 year old tuner car has more potential than a late model muscle car though? Catch my drift?
