I'll never understand why people try so hard to prove that GT-R's can be made fast. No **** they can be made fast, you can make a turd run 7's or 8's or whatever the hell you want.
But the GT-R was meant to road race, drag, daily drive, cruise, handle snow and all weather conditions, etc. It was meant to do everything pretty damn well and be a great GT car... hence the name. Making a big deal of how it can go in a straight line is beyond me when the car was clearly made to kick *** on a race track and embarrass Ferrari's, P-cars, and other track cars that cost 2x as much and still have great road manners.
Leave the damn highway racing to cars that were actually built for it!

2007 Lamborghini Gallardo

Frontal area 1.95 meters^2
CdA = 0.663
2009-2011 GT-R
Cd 0.27
Frontal area 2.09 meters^2

You own a GTR and don't even know that.

pretty good Cd numbers there.
never have cared what a VR38DETT was made of or stats.
fully ported modded heads flow 332cfm/240cfm. its just numbers, but it does limit the maximum power.
the wall is exhaust gas flow and exhaust pressure ratio pushing a turbine. a 3.8 liter engine has limits on how large a turbine it can push.
a 70 pounds per minute AND a 3.5 bar exhaust pressure ratio turbine, and a 160 lb/minute compressor really starts to need a larger engine.
imagine 220 lb per minute to make 2000hp ...the little gtr just wont be able to push that without N2o added like the fast supra guys do.

What are you talking about? It's not just about frontal area, it's about gearing on top of a bunch of other things. And yes I know the drag coefficient of my own car thank you very much. But yes the GT-R actually isn't that bad from a modded standpoint on the highway as stock gearing with a 7500rpm redline can hit 220mph.

where the charged air is mixed with the toxic nitromethane before being ignited by carefully-executed, mini-lightning bolts timed and controlled by the most advanced engine management hardware available.
that is two forms of power adder. likei said.
