You don't, I've just seen your previous posts on here. I was impressed with what y'all had accomplished. Nice job!

I still think a hell of alot of effort to get spanked by mild bolt-on f-bodys.
When I do this kind of project in the future I'm going to look for a 248a car. That's base V6 interior/options, GT drivetrain. Which saves ~100lbs. Full exhaust knocks off quite a bit as well, and I'd take the dogbone off the top of the differential like I did on my '98 (weighs about 15lbs). That right there will get it under 3,200lbs, and I haven't done anything specifically for weight savings. And my point (since you missed it) was that it would be a fun cheap car to enjoy driving around, and could surprise a few people on the street. Like a bolt-on LT1, except nobody expects it to be that fast. The LS1 F-body reference was used for speed comparison purposes, as that platform is pretty well known on this website.

Throw 38cc TFS heads on one with some sleeper cams. Hello compression. And maybe partial suicide of pistons/rods/crank lol

Yep. And Corey, I wouldn't do anything like that unless I was willing to spin it high enough to really use TFS heads. Which would go against the "budget build" criteria. Mill the stock heads, do a gasket match, and something like VT Stage 2 or Comp XE268/270s. Stock intake is also the most likely thing I would use.

I wish you could build that setup, and I could build mine to compare in the end. I think it'd be fun. Even with a nice, low, say, 3k budget (minus car) I think we'd both end up with bottom 12 second street cars.

Live a little. I'm trying to get a set of TFS's on mine for next year. And a bigger set of cams. Hello 150 trap

I'm sure I could do everything for $6k including the car.

There will be other projects in the future, no worries.

Was the car you raced Red with a Black hood OP

There was a PI swapped 98 at the track a few weeks ago and was pulling some pretty decent numbers for the mods done to the car.......Might be a long shot but seen you were from Florida and never know LoL

Good kill. Only 1 car length though?
Those NPI 302 BOSS cars run well stock.

It's not a direct swap, I don't believe.

They will bolt on, but I believe the coolant passages are different. Half the reason to do the swap would be the aluminum block and increased compression anywho. That, and 3v motors respond pretty well to n/a mods. (For mod motors)

Please do, I'm curious. It might just be a full PI engine swap, but I wouldn't do that as you wind up with 10-15hp less than an NPI engine with PI parts.
