that's what happens when you buy a TT DI truck from a company who can't get a spark plug right.

As an owner of a bunch of Toyotas I have mixed feelings on the Tundra. Toyota quality in the last 12 years has gone to ****. Last gen Tundra had engine problems and snapping tail gates when weight was put on them.

Know a lot of guys with the ecoboost truck Seems when they get over 50K they literally fall apart.

Have to side with Hammer on this. Though the 6.2 is reliable it sucks down gas like crazy.

Cool races and vid. Thanks for posting

I disagree. my 6.2 gets as good or better mileage than any of my 5.3's did. but if you put your foot into it, yes it can drink fuel.

That sucks. If anything it will take me about 8 years to get over 50k miles and I'll probably have replaced the truck 2 fold by then. I like mine but have yet to experience any issues with it.

What kinda issues? For the first time in my life I was actually considering getting a ford truck with the ecoboost for a DD but the dealer wouldn't work with me (wanted a barebones regular cab short bed 1/2 ton 2wd with the ecoboost). Starting to think I made a smart move by walking away when I couldn't get what I wanted. More info please!

Some of our fleet has had issues with cam phasers, lots of various sensors, turbos...ect.

The stealership now says the engine is shot at 70000km due to sludge. Even though it had an engine flush and oil change prior to the last engine warranty work. (turbos + intercooler I think)

Ford is now denying warranty until we can prove all maintanence records.

My friends have had problems with the turbos and all kinds of sensors. One blew up due to the turbo failing(turbo failed-replaced motor later started knocking. Geee I wonder why)

That's why I got the 5.0L , its a proven engine and mine is quicker& faster than any ecoboost I ever seen.

Plus I wouldn't feel right in a big *** truck that sounds like a pissed off civic, regardless how well it tows.
