99 trans am vs 05 mustang GT

I'm certainly not going to come here and argue that they are ls-destroyers. I just feel that they deserve a little more love than they get. Like you said, a stall worth installing, on some drag radials...that's a heavy *** DD in the mid 12's. Not astonishing, but consistent and nothing to be ashamed of either. I think there is actually more hate for that motor from the home team than anything. Especially the 4V guys. Try telling one of them that motor-wise, a 3V is comparable to a 4V!?...dear lord it's like the sky fell!

3V hater . I saw an auto last time out with Lawhead, full weight, 2400 (the **** is the point) stall, full exhaust, street tires (non DR) canned tune running 13 flat all day @~105. While this is not groundbreaking performance, especially in LS-land...ad boost and cams...could be quick.

I know what you meant, and I would never debate a stock for stock 3V/LS race. However, boost+cams???that could be interesting. That said, I have heard of stock 3V's running bottom 13's in the 104-105 range. Just saying. But stock to stock, my money is on the LS alllllllll day.

Like I said, it's a tossup. Usually it's all in the setup, and there are a lot of non-car "car guys" out there if you know what I mean, who have no clue what they're doing.

Not a hater, just speaking from experience lol. I also had a buddy with an auto 3V, tune only on street tires who would run consistent low 13's. Then there is a guy at the track consistently who has a KB on his, DR's, and runs mid 12's at 113-114 which does not impress me whatsoever.
