Say I got.. oh I don't know.. a 2000 WS6 roller chassis.... and.... say I decided to grab a junkyard 5.3... 07- motor. Annnd.... say I wanted to build the bottom end to handle 1500hp....turbocharged....
How much dat' motor gonna cost me? Figure on me assembling it myself on a stand. Just parts.

Probably around 10k in the motor I would assume for quality pieces that you won't have to worry about

When you start getting into a built bottom end an LS is no cheaper than any other platform for a 1500 dollar rotating assembly and heads/intake to support 1500 with machine work and parts
