he likes to throw around that 9 second "bolt on" car a lot--- but continually forget to mention that they pulled at least 1000 pounds out of the car.

It will sound stock with an LS9 cam, and gain 25-30rwhp.

I'd be curious to see gains from otherwise stock LS3 with a blower at 10# to an LS3 with an LS9 cam and 10#. I'm sure they are out there. Too bad I am too lazy to use google

My buddy made 598rwhp in his 13' 1LE with Edlebrock TVS, Edlebrock CAI, JBA longtubes(still has factory cats), LS9 cam(seriously sounds stock at idle.. no lope at all), and I THINK 60lb injectors. I'll have to confirm.

i will text him tomorrow and ask if he dyno'd the car before the cam. I know he did before the injectors, and made 570's. He was running out of fuel. He tuned it himself.

Edit: I think the 570's was also with the stock Edlebrock pulley. He has a 10# pulley too, which I think is what he made the 598 on.

I ran that cam on a turbo denali did good ran strong but on this car I had GPI develop a VVT cam for it and will be slapping that on. Trying out a more aggressive VVT setup than what you normally see on these L99 cars.

Edit: LS9 cam and T76 made 627rwhp @ 9 to 10lbs

The important question is, will you still say "bolt-on?"

You can't have factory cats with long tubes on a 5th gen...
Either way, without calling out specifics, I'm sure he has a badass car.

Quick Reply: cam only 5th gen vs full bolt on 5.0 coyote!
