and your car is very quick for what it is and performs well on the street dude.
Idk, but I would guess just because it was meant for turning, but it has a spool in it so it doesn't do too well in that aspect haha.

The wing for the R was, like the chin spoiler and IRS, all about road racing. I didn't like it, but it definitely ran better without.
They'd run 12.7's fairly easily all stock and I've seen 12.4 minus just the wing, or without the wing and chin spoiler.
Remember guys, this was a 385hp outta the box ride. It easily beat the F-body of its day, particularly in power output and many still seem to not realize, that car has a 5.4L, not the 4.6L. That is to say, it's VERY different than any other Cobra produced. I knew of 1 guy who put a Vortech of some sort on his and it dyno'd right at 585rwhp with just that and supporting hardware that came with it. No ported heads, no internal engine work at all, and there were no bolt ons to speak of at the time as it was 1 of 300 and the engine as it was there, was never used in anything else... Pretty rare.
Today, the same car could be upgraded to 600+hp N/A without trouble and could be built to 1,000 or so before concerns about breakage(except the transmission and parts behind it). It was STOUT!
Except other 5.4L(S/C'd) GT500's(and rarely, at that), no production pony car beat it until the 2012 ZL1 and 2013 GT500. Saleen offered Mustangs all around it which could easily hand it its own ***, but those were seriously high dollar versions, not even their ordinary offerings and not "factory" cars, like the 2002 ZL1, which in Phase iii, was BAD ***!.
In a nutshell, for its era, it was the pony car King of the Hill, period.
Now, back to your banter, but give "FENIX" some credit... He's just put it back on the road and it's running well, plus the nitrous is going to make a big difference.

The cobra R did not have a rear seat. And from what we have learned from the gaggle of local cobro's, it is absolute heresy to compare a car with no rear seat to one that has a rear seat.

Last time I checked you have to pay for all options. They have carbon brakes, about $10k worth of dampers and a awesome engine. Pretty cool car IMO......just wish it was more affordable. But I guess that's what the 1LE is.
