I am confused....
I have a good friend with an LS1, he put down 315/330 before his full exhaust, and has not dyno'd it since then. I put down 305/321, and when we run, he is usually about 1 car ahead, sometimes less, and sometimes I pull him. So we are really close when we run, but if he was making more power than me, even before his exhaust, which now he is making a good bit more power, why isnt he just walking away from me? How an I able to stay with him, and sometimes pull him? He has more power, and weighs less..... we are probably equal drivers... I just dont get it, any ideas? Mach's are running really strong for their advertised horsepower.

If so he might not have gained much unless he was tuned. I'm guessing he just got a catback which could have him up another 5 to 15 hp and about the same in torque. The weight difference between the 2 cars is minimal. I have no clue how a car with lower hp, similiar gearing, which weighs the same can keep up?

My Z28 weighed 3,400lbs. 3,650lbs with me in it.

? We just finished up a headswap on my friend's 98 GT- it was only an SOHC but I was still shocked at how big the block actually is.
