Yup I have two gopro's now so we'll get some vids! One thing you've got going for you tho man is that this will be the first time this year I've really beat on my car, so my shifting will more than likely be a little rusty!!!

What were you hoping to put down fir hp again minus the spray? Local mystichrome put down 475/4xx with upper/lower, headers, cai, exhaust etc and a dyno tune, iirc you said you were looking for 500+? Is that the normal for a ported car?

Here is him vs me when I made 480/460, I have him the hit. Shitty vid I know, he jumped about a carbon the hit, I walked past him and put roughly 2 on him and shut down.

Most ported(quality port not home done junk) blower cars make between 490-510wheel from what i have seen.

Yep 490-510 rwhp is a roughly the norm from what i've seen as well on your average dynojet dyno. If he was stock weight and stock gears I think I could pull it off, but that's not the case here lol

How much weight does a sra swap termi typically loose? I dropped 180# by swapping to a 4 link 9" setup in my gto. The termi I raced was a vert also

Yeah Verts suck. I owned a vert prior to my coupe. My coupe makes 10rwhp more and traps 6mph more in the 1/8.

I think ctgreddy mentioned he shaved off around 100 lbs by from the swap. He also has dropped another 50 lbs or so with other reductions. He is a hardtop as well. Our total race weight should be very close with the added weight from my 6.0 iron block

So how much total weight reduction do you have Cwarta?

2003cobro, 6 mph is a massive difference! Wow lol!!

Lol my iron block gto weighs 3,240# full interior minus seat delete, a/c, ps, pb, stereo etc all still intact and functioning. So what's that, roughly 450# or so

Sra swap with rear seat delete was #180
Bigs and littles over my 18's was 120# iirc
Spare tire/jack/misc bracketry 80# ish
Tow brace, rear gas tank brace, skid plate/windshield washer stuff roughly 60-80#
Exhaust probly 50?#
Front bumper support 15#
Other misc crap aswell, floor matts, yadada yadda, just been addeing up over the the years.

I'm hoping for some big numbers at the track this year, should be making 575+rwhp (hopefully) and weigh as much as a corvette on 28x10.50x15 ET drags. So mid 10's @ 3,000+ D/ A I'll be happy

That's some serious weight reduction lol! 575 rwhp is totally realistic on that 416?

Yup it sure added up lol! I'd love to get my hands on some Lexas glass but meh I'll just add a shot. I'm hoping for mid 10's, as I'm aiming for the all motor 6 speed record wich is currently 10.78. I may have to travel down south for better D/A though :/

Your car should have no issue running 10s at 130mph+ with that much power. **** what heads are you gonna run? Small bore LS7?

I've got a set of cnc ported pro comp ls3 heads that were hand ported after the cnc process lol. Martin said he could see 575 maybe more depending on the setup, but if I get near 575 I'll be happy with a 9" and 4:11's

cwarta you've got a sick gto! I raced a stock weight one that made 500whp(hci2000ss's buddy) and when I was spraying (530whp) I walked away from him pretty easily. My car has roughly 150lbs out of it, plus an added bonus is I weigh all of 140lbs so I've got like 40 some pound reduction just based on the drivers alone . lol

Oh those were on the same 6.0 bottom you had right? I was looking into the square port ****, but more along the lines of the small bore LS7, i keep reading the LS3 stuff needs a single plane to really shine.
