07-08 G35 Sedans can get out of their own way. They launch very easy, just kind of bite down and go. With that said, had the Cobra gotten a clean launch it would've been a one car race at most.
Here are a few runs with my old G35 Vs a few.
Vs a 2V with mid pipe and cat-back only. Does much better than that Cobra did, lol.
TBSS Vs G35.. roll, bad cell phone vid
Vs my SS with just lid/cat-back. You can see how well the G35 gets off the line. Thats the G35 spinning btw. SS rolls into it whereas the G flat foots.
And just to show what a 96 Cobra can do when running right, here is my cousins 96 Cobra Vs my SS from a roll. SS had a tune/intake/Cat-back and the Cobra has a whole list of ignition mods, Intake, ORX, stock gears, tune, etc.

He actually has some pretty damn nice cars IIRC. I know of an LS1 Bird of some sort, as well as the LT1, and I believe a damn nice classic big block Bird as well.

Not a fanboy at all, i own an 01 ws6 which most of you dont know. And i love the car, i just hate how most of you are so brand loyal to the point of riding each others dick and making **** up to make GM look like the only brand.

That SS faster than normal to be honest. It ran 12.4 at 112 with those mods. Intake, tune, cat-back. No idea why it ran so strong. Maybe the low mileage (10k)?
