Thanks man! I trapped 94 in the 1/8 with a 2.4 60' lol my time sucked *** but my trap speed was good. Going to wait for the speed eng 1 7/8 headers and y-pipe. Getting my 3.90's in the car this week! So once Those headers are available I should almost be done we'll almost be dialed in lol

good kill man. i would go with 3.73's or even 3.42's to keep hwy rpms down. gears dont really make a time difference with a stall mainly just drivebability. 3.42's and a 3200 stall will drive ncie keep rpms down and still give the same times as 3.90s will.

I'd be curious to see what your car does in the 1/4. Friends car traps around that I think in the 1/8th but runs out top end and goes around 116. My car traps 91ish with decent air and runs about 115 usually. Mines an M6, his an auto.

Why not do the TSP 1 7/8? I had a set that I was going to put on my old SS before it got totaled (one of the first production runs actually I believe), they are very nice pieces.

How would gears not make a difference? You start at a higher rpm when the car downshifts.

No...... That's the whole point of a stall. A stall converter will "slip" itself and the engine into the high rpm range to deliver more power. The shift extension when it does shift is also determined by the stall. Gears in an auto will only change the shift points around, stalls get rid of dead spots.

Therefore the only difference gears will make is making it drive nice with the converter, its been proven countless times gears make little to no difference on stalled autos.

agreed completely. My 3.70 gears almost seemed to slow me down from my stock 3.46 gears. actually hurt me from a roll, too.

I don't have a big enough stall to make the gears irrelevant... Of I had a 4k stall I wouldn't do them. But my small stall needs them.'

Great race! Posted on the blog here.

I actually like the Boss 302 in general, but he got walked. Nice kill 100%.
