I have a buddy with a 1G, He puts down 305hp @ the wheels and 296 lbs/ft of torque. He runs 12.5's @110-112 all day long. It is a GSX. 460 to the wheels would cost a crap load even in an older Eclipse.

That makes a lot of sense. Stage 2 isn't in your lingo, moron. If I said "lid," you'd sure know what that is. Or 12 bolt. Or SFCs.

its the same for a driver of any other type of car...example) on wrx's, company's sell stages...turboxs stage 2 = high 12's, whereas vishnu stage 4 = high 12's and the exact same mods (just from different companies)
Since there are no regulations on keeping companies from calling their products whatever they want (thankfully), they can...call their products whatever they want. If Vishnu (or Buschur, or...) wants to make 18 different "stages" and call them Stage R - Stage Pi, they can do that. If you were into modding WRXs, you'd know what was on a Vishnu stage 4, as well as a turboxs stage 2, and a Bobdiddlybob stage Zima. It doesn't mean anything to you because again, you don't own the car and aren't looking at the mods for it. It will be completely different for a DSM guy, and a honda guy, and a lawnmower guy. Just like reading a DSM guy a list of camaro mods probably isn't going to make a lot of sense to him except the standard h/c/i/e.

I mean look at the garbage listed in people's sigs. You need a book of acronyms to decipher half of them. Which in fact is why there is a list of LS1 acronyms.

You know what's stupid? The fact that you went from asking us "And where would I buy one of these "stages" .. all sarcastic and **** ... to telling us about all these different companies and their "stages" for different cars.

Allow me to shed some light on this for you ... something that you may have missed in my first or second post here. Just telling someone you have a "stage 1" may not help them realize what is in your car ... due to the fact that so many different companies make a "Stage 1."
HOWEVER, if you were to say, my car has a "greddy stage 2 turbo kit" or some **** like that .... since GReddy only makes 1 "stage 2 turbo kit" the person would know what you are talking about. And if they didn't know exactly what was included in that, they would have a basic idea and they could always call up GReddy later on, and find out EXACTLY what was in that kit.

As for the camaro - camaro thing .... Half of the cars I stop and talk to have NO CLUE what a T-Rex cam is .... NO CLUE what Nitto's are .... NEVER heard of a dual springs ... HAL Shocks, what? ... LCA's??? .... etc. Just because some people do not know what a certain part is, doesn't mean it is stupid to ask/tell them.

EXACTLY my point ... guess it took me a lot longer to make it.

Btw, the more I discuss this, the more I think stage packages is a great idea. Be a hellova lot easier when someone asks what you have done, to shout over "THUNDER RACING STAGE 4 KIT" ... then to say "TREX cam, dual springs, tit retainers, seats, seals, pushrods, ported ls6 oil pump, lid, ls6 intake, ported throttle body, MAF sensor, LS1edit tuning, hal shocks/springs, subframes, big sway bars, LCA's, pro 5.0 shifter, LT headers, no cats, cutout, magnaflow exhaust, 4.10 gears, 10mm plug wires, spec stage 3 clutch (you know what that means, don't you???), tr-6 plugs, y2k vette rims, diet pills, 275/40/zr17 firehawk sz50ep's up front, nitto 555R's out back, upgraded fuel pump/injectors/lines, a bigass shot of juice, a ton of **** I forgot, and a whole lot of Menzerna FMJ polish."

A good example of what happens when a Ricer trys to buy parts which are not in a nice bundle comes in the form of my good buddy who lives down the street from me. He is attempting to build a civic hatch, with a b16 engine, and some other **** ... in his garage (with the sole purpose of beating me .... righhhhhhht).

Ok man, you are frickin' ignorant or just plain freakin' stupid. you are obviously not a true car enthusiest who has some sort of penile disfunction that he is trying to make up for with owning a BIG V8. Just because import performance parts have optional packages that can be boughten in "stages" doesn't mean jack. I can find numerous places that have performance packages for any American made performance vehicle. Also, just because there is a freakin' idiot that lives near you and doesn't know anything about what he is doing doesn't mean all people who own imports are retarded. I have many friends who own imports and I guarantee that they are better mechanics than 90% of the people in this forum. I am doing an LS1 conversion to a Miata right now and I own a 96 GSX. Any time you want to pull your head out of your *** so I can kick it please let me know.

I don't have to meet everyone. Two of my buddies are certified geniuses (unfortunately I'm not). And they build cars that people pay over $500k for.

Also the simple fact I was calling him a freakin' Idiot is that he has absolutely no clue about imports therefore he can't speak intelligently about them...which he wasn't.

that doesn't prove that they're genuises. it just proves that other people (people who buy from them) are stupid.

i know of a couple people in here who work at speed shops or garages and wrench on cars all day for a living (start with our moderators!). try not to spread the flames around when YOU don't know what you're talking about.

Certified geniuses? Who ******* cares. What does that have to do with the price of dog ****? I have a buddy that's a "certified genius" in Mensa, and I can certify for you that he's a dumb mother ******.

If you hang around with mechanics, then you probably hang around people with a lot of mechanical experience. That would be like me hanging around a bunch of athletes all the time and saying "I bet the people I hang around with are more athletic than 90% of this board!"

It's still stupid, no matter how you look at it. Next time dig up a worthwhile topic that you have something valuable to contribute to.

Dude, are you serious? First, I don't know where your coming off by saying I was bashing Import guys, because I wasn't. Maybe the two parts of your brain that read, and understand what you just read aren't connected properly? In the post above yours, which was made weeks ago, I even commented on how some companies DO make performance packages for our car, and all cars ... and how I thought it would be a ton easier to say then individual mods.

Second "boughten" is not a word ... I know you heard it in that Cheerleading movie, and you thought they were all certified genius's as well ... but they aren't.

Third, I never said ALL people who own imports are idiots ...

Lastly ... it is obvious to me, that you would consider ANYONE you met to be a genius ... just by the fact that you are a moron. Therefore, I am sure those 2 genius's you know of are really pretty stupid.

IGNORANT PEOPLE MAKE ME ANGRY!
You must really **** yourself off then, eh?

Btw ... My buddy has a 350rwhp miata (without the additional weight of an LS1), and it goes down pretty hard. Let me know when you are ready for ME to shove YOUR head UP your *** ... I'm thinking you might appear more intelligent and be better off with your mouth up there, instead of out in the open where you can speak.

Thanks for playing, now please go back to your Fast and the Furious fantasy land with your 96 GSX.
