Ill just say that if a cobra or 5.0 gets beat on there. Then you are trolling the page i just said guy wasn't a troll and damn if i didn't get banned for two weeks lol.

Far from it I like GM powered cars just as much as you. But the Camaro was beat by the 5.0 far and squire. I would trade my 5.0 in for a V or Vette anytime of the day if I could get a good deal on one.

that's the base curb weight. the gt premium will be up around 3800+ pounds.

it does depend on how it is outfitted. it its got everything no telling how heavy.

it will have substantially more power than now. higher life cams, new intake, higher flowing ports, larger valves. 450 hp at a minimum. and better overall torque.

450/420 probably.

but at that weight its a role reversal as far as power goes. when they add direct injection another 10hp with no other changes.


but really who cares. it looks like **** and is a pig.

what id like is an ATS with twin turbo 3.6 DI. that a car id probably get.


ATS-V. that will outperform both pony cars IMO.

Hell the new Vsport's are trapping 115 mph with just a tune. Seems like a strong running car.

KB is coming out with a 3.1L SC that will make 750whp on that ugly pig.

I personally saw that booth at Mustang's 50th Anniversary in Charlotte. Also took vids. Was some cool **** and the first time I had heard of it. Its definitely legit.

That's kinda like saying if you can't run 12.6 with the auto 5L, it's not the car... Idonno. I think the 1LE is all around, the better performer of the two and I can't see any argument against that. Still, it's not as quick in a straight line.

I concur with this idea, 100%. They're simply cooler cars in many ways, which happen to perform on the upper edge of their own category. Plus, there are far fewer of either.

That's the same thing I added in the Auto News, Media & Press forum. It's heavier, to be sure.

I was told it came from Wayne Akers in WPB and I believe that. Anyway, it was also "confirmed" to be actual Ford data for dealers, meaning it must be legit.

Some think it's going to be stupidly higher, but I don't see it beyond 450. It would be fine with me, but also serious overkill. I expect the higher hp for 2016, not 15.

I've read about gains up to 250 lb, but it seems to be closer to 65-120 lb across the board.

A convertible w/ automatic, yes. No fastback is likely to reach that weight w/ a driver. There's just so many standard features, it will be difficult to add in more than 100 lb of add on items.

You think it's ugly? Hmmm... minority opinion, it seems(except perhaps on a board like this). It's a pig, but not much of a pig in comparison to the already not light 5th gen it's replacing. Adding DI would probably add another 30hp w/ no other changes. I'm surprised it's not part of the new car now.

If you want the ATS 3.6 TT DI, why not get the CTS Vsport? Same chassis, a bit stretched. Those turbo's, etc. are a bunch of added weight though. I'd rather the last of the CTS-V with far more power and torque at this point.

That's CRA-CRA! as the hip crowd apparently says these days... Not something I'd want for anything but a 1/4 mile racer.
