I don't really consider this a kill because a kill implies racing which I don't do. And secondly, I was actually minding my own business. Anyway, I was on I-77 yesterday, had the T-tops off, music blaring, enjoying life. In my rearview, a saw that someone put on their flood lights and was seriously approaching me, so I slowed down so that he could catch up to me (God I love the LS1 engine. I can't wipe that damn grin off of my face.) As he got closer, I saw that it was a bright red, riced out honda prelude. The whole works, stickers all over, huge wing, I hit the break so that I could look at his back, yup, huge fart exhaust. When I breaked, he must have thought that he passed me on his own will. This moron, threw up his fist as if he was cheering. I let him get about 50 feet (give or take a few feet) ahead of me. (I hated to do it because he had a chick in the car with him but he needed a slice of humble pie and I was willing to give it to him). As he got a good lead, I just floored it, my baby just flew past him. I even wavved good bye to him as he was eating my dust. The poor bastard couldn't catch up. My exit was approaching so I slowed down even more, that's when ol' boy came up beside me and I swear to god, his chick winked at me as he drove past me. At that point I couldn't stop cracking at.

That LS1 engine is no joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

No, no it's not a joke. This engine will destroy most. Not exotics or **** like that but most on the street. Even a 03 cobra if you think about it. A cobra can beat a LS1 only cause of the blower. Throw the same blower on a LS1 and bye-bye baby. Nice job serving that little bitch his slice of pie. Doing it in front of his girl, priceless!

I would love to see an 03' Cobra go up against and LS1. On this sight, I've read so many people say that they've killed an 03' Cobra but I still don't see how it's possible. Funny thing, prior to buying this T/A, everyone was like, "why would you want to buy an old outdated car?" Everyone morning as I'm driving to work with the T-Top off and I'm passing everyone, I know why I bought it. To be honest, I have no intentions on modding it. It's to fast now, how much faster do I need to go. The only thing that I want to do is tint the windows.

 

Just give it some time. The mod bug will hit you. I've been doing my best to hold out. I'm trying to finish my 71. I'm not sure how much longer I can hold up though. LOL

from the way he described it, the prelude was still going for it when he passed it. so no flyby. I have seen several kill stories here where the ls1 lets the other guy get a car length ahead and then shoots by. not what I would do, but still no flyby.

Yup, no racing for me either.

I just dont like to get passed. I drive slow until someone passes me . . . Then I drive fast until I am back in the front.

 

I hate drivers that do this. Pick one speed and stick with it. There are too many minivan driving ****** that speed up when you are in the middle of passing them. One even had the nerve to pull out in front of my dad and then start to race him when my dad passed him which left us in the left lane with a hill coming up.

 

I hate this too. if you don't wanna cruise that fast, why not let others pass? I let people by all the time.
