Killed a WS6

Killed a WS6 I ran into a NBM WS6 on the way home from work. I was behind him initially. I crept up next to him and we both juiced the throttle a bit. I stayed in the throttle just clowning around and I ran up on traffic REAL quick. I had to hit the brakes and changes lanes quickly.

I felt like an *** for doing that. It wasn't intentional. Still, pretty stupid.
Anyway, we cleared some room and went from a 1st gear roll. He counted...1, 2, 3. He didn't honk which was cool. No need to draw attention. On 3 I gave him the move. I reeled him in pretty quickly. We both had our windows down so I looked over at him as I pulled by him. I hit second and wound it out to 6,500rpms. Ended up only putting a car length or so on him. We shut down due to traffic before hitting 3rd. I was spinning pretty badly even on the 315 Nittos. Third gear is where it's at for me. I would've opened it up nicely if we had the room.
The guy was cool. I gave him a thumbs up and a wave as I turned off. He looked surprised that I beat him. I'm not sure what mods he had...definitely exhaust. I didn't hear any nitrous hit, a cam, a blower, or a turbo. My car must be getting slower.
It sounded really nice. I was actually surprised that he hung with me like that. It seems like every race I get I've already been beating on the car heavily.
I just happen to be datalogging the "pass".
IAT's were off the chart and timing was at a conservative 20*.

Nice kill and I'm sure he had some work done ... he could have definately had a small h/c combo and some bolt ons (stealth approach kind of deal) and you wouldn't have been the wiser.

Nice runs Unit! I had a sketchy run last night vs. some nut job in an SRT-4 who thought he was Mario Andretti weaving through people. Unfortunately, I fell into his game for one stab and put him way behind only to behold the tailghts of upcoming traffic at a very rapid pace. Talk about brake fade, the pedal turned to mush. Luckily, the SS was able to shed off enough speed just in the nick of time. It was very stupid of me to put others in a precarious position... I felt like putting a rice sticker on my fender as pennance.

Nice kill though man, good to see the car runs a little better now. im sure you are making some good power numbers. But i guess it is only us ford guys who knows what he has and how much power he is probably making.

Yep, it's my daily driver. I have been getting some good runs lately. It's about time. Gotta be careful though...lots of po-po's around.

hey mike...haven't seen you post in a while. I was at the Livernois open house from 11am-12:30pm. There was definitely some nice 'stangs up there...a few kenne belle '03/'04 Cobras too.
I made it to the track twice this year so far. Once on stock F1's and once on 315 Nittos. My times were less than steller IMO. I'm still working out some bugs. I'll post some times when I get things worked out. I don't want guys to get the idea that '03 Cobras are slow.
