Nice! Never seen a 5th gen with those mods run like that.

Nice running L99! No race against the 'vette? That one would be good, I think.

Too bad about the added noise. The cars sound great and that was ruined by adding a bunch of shitty noise for teenagers. Oh well, you got a video out of it and I know how to turn down my sound...

I think what he meant is like it is rare to see a good running l99 it is rare to see a good running 2010 mustang ?

Car runs awesome. Good to see somebody do something good with the L99. In stock form they are rather sad. Used to pull on them in my bolt on 2v GT.

That is true but the LS3 isn't much better lol. OP has modded the 5th gen the right way.

Interesting track lol.....

I freaking HATE that song.....and i've been a rap nerd since elementary. DJ Khaled is usually good with the feat singles but that song is god awful. French Montana is literally one of the absolute worst rappers to ever become popular. I would dead seriously love to listen to Trinidad James and Chief Keef a million times over instead of listening to French Montana who sounds and looks like a mentally challenged goat.

Aside from that good runs.

The Mustang equivalent to this unicorn is the 2010 GT. I call it the "lame duck GT." Ford introduced the new 2011 body in 2010 but did not put the new 5.0 coyote in the body until 2011. The result is a 2011 body with a 3v Mod motor. You almost never see these that arent 100% stock. And they're also debadged GTs. Thats the dead giveaway.
lol a full Bolton cammed ls3/l99 is puppy kicking stockish coyotes. even a full Bolton coyote will lose if the cam is big enough . 500-540+ rwhp.

OP should win every time. should never be close.

They weren't racing.......they were just accelerating normally.

My buddies ls3 5gen ran 12.9 bone stock. I really don't get where people think they run bad.

I think rhino has been faster than the fastest bolt-on coyote.......as he should with a cam. The big advantage the l99 has is the vvt........then you spin it hard. Once cammed they can have almost 1000 more rpm range. Big advantage over the ls3 then.

The only benefit of the VVT is that when you throw that crap in the garbage and install a LS3 cam you will have removed some useless weight off the front of your car.

I think you're right... even though it simply puts you on the leading edge and probably spending a little more. Once figured out, VVT is seriously hard to beat.

So with better tires, if that MPH is where it seems to be, you'll basically SMASH your old best. It could be by 10ths, but it won't be only by 100ths. Geez... just dropping that 1 tenth is going to give you 2... plus you're much faster... you're doing something right.

I'm going to wait when weather gets better this fall and shoot for a 7.0 6.90 and see what comes next.

Not to go here, but I didn't know the weather was anything but good in Dallas lately. I mean, aside from some storms. Is it just that hot? I miss Dallas... big time. One of my brothers sent me a text yesterday showing a flyer for ADVANCE Auto Parts... brand new store apparently opened in Garland on the 21st and from what I gather, it's the 1st in Texas.... it's about time for them, considering how great the market is in the Dallas area. When I lived there, it was overrun with O'reilly and AZ... along with NAPA, of course. Anyway, Dallas and most of Texas grows while much of the nation remains stagnant... and good for Texas!

That's not bad but most of the drivers with the ls3 can't get out the hole to save their lives lol. That's why i see 13s all the time with these cars. Not to say i wouldn't take another camaro though

car on the left.

you should easily be able to get into the 6's in the 1/8th. bolt on coyotes have. I figure you will crush those cars easily with all that extra power.
