Expected more but knew better from the 5th gen. idk y they seem to run subpar most of the time. I know they weigh as much as my 4 door, but I still expected better.

i had a cam 5th gen and got a ls3 vette now. my 5th gen was faster then the few bolton ls3 cars i raced. they would creep back to me after 120 or so. but i was way to far in front by that point. times atm ive went about 3-4 tenths faster in my cam camaro then i have my header only ls3. camaro was a stick, my vette is a auto.

I dont get why so many are so quick to trash the 5th gen when they don't even know the cam specs. This race is totally believable with a decent running LS3 with a smallish cam.
Stock Ls2 Vettes dyno on average 360rwhp and weigh about 3300 lbs.
Stock Ls3 Camaros dyno on average 370 rwhp and weight about 4k.
Cammed Ls3 Camaros are around 420-450rwhp on average from what Ive seen.
The race from a physics standpoint is not much different than Vettes beating Mustangs that have 100rwhp more.
Weight, gearing, and aero play a huge roll, just wanted to remind you all

124mph trap with a cam only L99. Last time I checked stock LS2 C6's trap 114-115mph. 9mph is a big difference. That just shows you what a good setup is and what a shitty setup is like the one in this video. I don't get the point of camming a car if it's going to be a baby cam, and run like crap. When I see cam only in a LS car I usually expect it to run well and have a decent gain in performance. That 5th gen ran like a bolt-on car!
Lol.

My headers/CAI/3680lbs 5th gen is as fast as a M7 Stingray at local track. This Camaro setup is weak sauce. I would expect a cammed LS3 Camaro to destroy a stock LS2 vette.
Since when 5th gen are 4K lbs LOLL Thats BS.
Aint the first/last time we see a 5th gen running like crap.
