I think he deserves a "job well done" all the same. From a 50 roll, he had to be well over 100 when that tire blew. To then stay calm, keep it stright and slow to a stop without anyone being injured is pretty impressive. A lot of people would have flipped out and likely slammed into the car next to them. Good job sir!

 

By my ricer math it was around 130 mph give or take 5 mph or so. I have Corvette leather in my butthole from clenching so hard.

 

Any comment about what happened with the cop?

Haha I was merely a passenger, the driver actually was cracking me up with his yelling, but I know I would've done the exact same thing if I were him. In hindsight we can all laugh at it because no one went to jail or the morgue.

I don't know how "buddy" you guys are, but being that close to a friend in that situation has gotta suck. Staring the whole time just waiting for him to wipe out hoping he doesn't get pancaked. Then having a nice chat with the cops just afterwards. Yippee! Hell of a night.

 

Dude I was shitting bricks. I was in a nasty 150 mph wreck last year and all I could think when that tire blew is him coming into us... You can barely hear it in the video but I was telling the Vette driver "GO GO GO!" to get the **** out of the way in case he went our way. He was so focused on slowing down from the race he didn't even realize what was going on until I yelled.
