C7 v. '01 WS.6 Mods: T/A: "Cam Only" LSx; C7: Unknown.
On my way to a local Car Show this evening when a brand new 2015 Stingray Corvette came up to my rear end. My buddy was in the car with me, saying, there's a Corvette coming up your rear, I wonder if he wants to play. I was doing about 80. I slowed down between 55-60, when he got into the other lane to pass me when I heard him punch it. His nose was about to my drivers door when I dropped it to 4th (I could've/should've put it in 3rd). I didn't walk away from him, I ran away from him letting off around 115. When he caught back up his girl in the passenger seat was giving him 'THAT' look like, dude, you just lost to a Trans Am in a brand new Corvette. I wonder how much worse it would've been if I had put it in 3rd. God Bless

Staging Lane
A non gutted cam/bolton WS6 isn't beating a new C7 in any kind of fair or even race. Like others said already, it most likely was a driver kill or there was a miscommunication and he wanted to line up side by side with you. I raced a C7 when they first came out, 65-130mph with me getting the jump (was racing a termi cobra that jumped before we could honk off our 3 wide run) and I only put a handful of cars on it. And my car kills cam/bolton/gears/slicks/etc. fbodies.
