On my way home I see this beautiful white and black 63 amg coupe pulling onto the hwy. He instantly catches up to me and tells me to go. I go around the car in front of me and we had about 2 miles of open hwy ahead. He gives me the hit and punched it doing about 70 mph. This thing pulled like a freight train. I took it til about 130mph and just gave up. He was a Titanic in front of me. He slowed back down and gave me thumbs up. I heard that they were fast but didn't think that fast.

Ya gave a high speed brawler a 70 mph roll run. No shame in losing to that thing.
I ran up on a "Black" AMG Sedan one night about 30 years ago... I was doin 100+ mph, closing quick on the intersection at which he was on the red.
I could see the yellow was on the cross street and I could see that the cross street was clear for at least a 1/4 mile. So I stayed in it and was probably just short of a 1/4 off the intersection when the light turned green and as I said I was all in at just over a 100mph in my Ford van at the time.
That Mercedes hunkered down, clearly rolling out strong... and I sorta chuckled at the thought that he'd seen me haulin' *** down the road and wanted some... I never got close enough to see what state the tag was licensed to.
He went from a standing start, loaded the suspension, puffed a little smoke and within a few seconds that thing was walking away, and a few seconds after THAT, he was flyin' away and his little red tail light faded into the ether.
About 5 minutes later, I was chatting up the State Trooper who was coming from the other way, saw my doing a little over 100mph and turned it around and pulled me over.
He walks up and said, "What in the hell are you two doin'? I saw your buddy fly by and by the time I got it slowed down he was gone! What the hell was that thing?"
I guess they don't advertise their bad *** means much, but when those german ***** decide to build a fast one, they can flat get it done.
Enjoyed readin' about your run.

I'm sure the 30 years clears the statute of limitations? LOL
Either way OP, honorable death. The germans don't tend to shine until already past 60mph or so. And those AMG cars for the most part come with unbelievable torque numbers.

lol. they're quick. Hell driven properly the new ones are said to be mid 11's. on the hwy how hard is it to hit the go pedal and run past a 10mph less car?
That's the problem.. how many guys that own MB's know how to drive?
friend thought his 1yr old E63 was going to put a hurting on my (at the time) bone stock C6. three out of three same outcome... me by 2 cars up to 130 and that's with feathering it up to about 40 on rock hard GY supercar RF tires lol...

I hear ya, man! After getting beat by a car, the mod bug does kick in hard.
If you look at my sorry ***, I continuously mod up and I still manage to get beat constantly.
Don't let it bother you though since there will always be someone faster. Just be comfortable where you stand but always try to improve. No one can fault you for that.

Yes... 30 years ago, and it wasn't meant to be funny, it was meant to commensurate through the conveyance of a similar experience. The car looked like a typical early '80s Mercedes 450SL, four door sedan... the only distinction being it was fast as ****!
I actually met the owner of that car a few weeks later. It was built by Mercede's 'Black Department'. The guy said that it was the fastest car he'd ever owned and beat his Ferrari 'like a mouthy wench'... .
Now, with regard to your retort and, in keeping with the theme... you aren't funny either.
So THERE!
Feel better?

Camped out in the whole for days and still pulled a 10.7? That's a high 9second ride. (Can't say I love the sound, but I bet I could learn to love it... )
