Except that SBE 5.3s and 6.0s have been proven time and time again to handle well over 800rwhp for thousands of miles and abuse...

lol at the jealousy of autocock.
What am I jealous about?

the stock internals can handle 800rwhp. 700 rwhp forever.

600 my *** lol.

2015 rods are the same as boss.

ive talked to John Lund. the car is getting data logged dyno tuned when the CJ setup/cams go in.
I totally disagree. 650-640whp is safe spot on 93 octane. I ran mine at 713whp with a 50/50 mix of 93 and 110. E85 changes that too. But it will not last at 700whp. Ask the guy who bought my car. He blew it up and now make a 1000whp with a built engine.

Fastest stock engine coyote belongs to Ken from Lund racing TT setup that runs 9.59@144 for a while. Bunch of passes on it. He also is on E85.

Yeah bro... don't trust those SBE 5.3's

740rwhp thru a stalled auto on 93 (on meth) Beat the **** out of it for thousands of miles on the street.

It's getting replaced with a LS2 based forged 408 and shooting for 1000rwhp.

Sorry it offends you that I wouldnt run an SBE 5.3. I dont care who makes what with what. The rods are **** and so are the pistons. If i built a 5.3... it would have atleast a set of rods and good pistons. I fully acknowledge what people have done with 5.3s. But I still have no interest in playing with junk metal. LS/LQ based motors are so cheap to build, why wouldnt you just run a half way decent bottom end? Any idea how much stronger a set of Scat 7/16 cap 4340 I beams are then the stock rods? And they only cost $250.

But hey... what do I know... I race a Ford...

Not offended. That wasn't directed at you. I know I'm playing with fire at my power levels. But hey who isn't at these levels? That's why I'm building a forged 408. and I'll probably upgrade to bigger turbos and push that limit too lol.... its a never ending cycle.

btw I'm not a noob to this site, I know you used to have a GTO.

As if it wasnt obvious by your s/n lol

lol i hear ya. I could make 900whp out of mine but it would be at a level that with the parts I have... more of a stress then anything else. Id rather just cap it at 800whp and know thats it will live...atleast for a little while. Im also going to have various tunes for as low as 700-725whp with the same pulley/spring. No need to stress the motor when its not necessary. Ill eventually like to build a billet rod, sleeved shortblock for this thing and just ditch the wastegate as well as drop another pulley size. But there are much more important things in life first lol.

Personally the ONLY ls/lq that I would put big power into would be a 4.8. Less stroke means more power (in terms of what the rods can handle). Cast material in general though just scares me. The fact that you can dent the pistons by tapping them with a wrist pin makes me cringe.
