and he knew it was the wrong car. but got a damn good deal on it. before this he has a 66 chevy II with a small block on spray and a 8.5 slick that would hook in dirt. and just got a 71 vega he want to ls swap to dig race with.

A win is a win. Vette's are horrible for dig racing.... I will say though 1/8 mile drag racing on the street is .....

The 1/8th mile dig racing on the street is where it's at.

Did I see tire smoke from the T/A in second gear? I didn't think LT1's did that kind of stuff with high mileage and opti sparks....NICE KILL

I disagree... 1/4 mile is best! Roll racing is 2nd. Road course places 3rd. And finally 1/8 is

1/4 mile is hard to do safely on the street. We don't have any good spots around here to do it. 1/8th requires you to actually make your **** work, it's where all the driving comes into play.

I'm just the kind of person who likes to see which car is faster from both a roll and a dig.. But going 1/8 is way to short IMO. No fun. And than winning just because the person can't hook is a ***** way to race IMO. We used to always do a dig and a roll when I had my first ls1 and than I got the vette and put a blower on it and than NOBODY wanted to do rolls. Digs only because that's only way they could win because I couldn't hook a 3000lb car putting down 530rwhp on the street. ***** **** IMO. BUT if you don't have a long enough road to do 1/4 mile or rolls and he agreed to 1/8 I guess it is what it is.. You won because he spun. Congrats!

Well that sucks for you cuz that **** is ..
And than a person with a light car with a **** ton of power and a 6-speed is not going to hook and lose like in OP's vid. I would never post a vid of me winning on tech because a guy just spun his *** off. Or if I did it would be to **** people off lol. I personally wouldn't be happy beating a car because they have traction issues. Racing a h/c ls7 on street tires in the 1/8 is pointless IMO. And my car 60ft like a **** so.....

1/8 is only gay if your car isn't getting out of the hole. 1/8 mile is fun because it is focusing on your reaction time and 60ft. Saying 1/8 mile is gay is basically saying 1/4 mile is gay. Gay reaction time+gay 60ft means you might end up with a gay 1/4 mile time and possibly getting beat by a gay LT1.

All the fast cars race 1/8th mile. Street and track. It's the new hotness, get with the times.

Good kill! Some people just don't get the fact that most races are won and lost at the starting line. Hmmm?

My car would kill you and 90% of street cars off the line and I still think 1/8 mile sucks.. It's no fun. You start and race is over so fast. 1/4 mile is the way to go. I can understand doing 1/8 mile dig race with to serious drag cars doing 150+ in the 1/4 where it wouldn't be safe on the street. Otherwise seems like an excuse for slow cars to have a way to win..i could have beats that z06 with a $2800 junk f-body. 4k+ stall and maybe a small shot.. Launch while he spins and YAY race is over.

Lol bs. I'm 3 hours from okc and the amazing "street outlaws" and we always do 1/4 mile. Someone wanted to do 1/8 mile and people will just laugh at you.

That's true... That's why I sold my Z06.. No one would do anything but digs with me cuz I'd spin on the street 1st-3rd... Than they would talk **** and not do a roll.. So I bought this car and already shut every single one of them up lol....

Eh were not to far off. We agree 1/4 is #1 . Roll racing is for 2 high powered 6-speed cars and I think it's a blast. Banging gears up to 180mph racing another fast car is a huge rush.
