Bolt on 5.0 vs Bolt on k20

If by done right, you mean a lot of track time and a lot of money spent on attention to detail... then yes you would be right. But youre essentially making a fast CAR.... the motor still makes mid 300s. THats plenty of power to make a car with a race weight of 3000-3100lbs car run well into the 11s at close to or touching 120mph.
But lets not confuse a vast effort... for simplicity.

Car has ran a 9.9 atm at 130mph

That honda in the video goes 114 with 2 mods and a tune on e85. Take alot less work then it would to get a junkbox foxbody to the 120mph. For example the honda this video goes 130mph stock crank, sleeves, ported OEM head with vtec lobes still and ITB's. Would take a pretty stout NA anything to run with it

lol why do you think I slapped a blower on my car. Way more fun, way less effort, way faster, a lot less stressful. But that doesnt negate the fact that your car runs good either way. Plus there are a fuel local cars that need a good face-******* on the street that emphasized a blower lol

If my old camaro ran go 11.47 @ 118 with a lid, LT's, 3800 stall, and tiny DR's as my only purchased parts. That's not much money and certainly didn't have a lot of track time in it. I'm sure it would've gone much faster if I swapped easy things like the stock ls1 manifold, TB, MAF.... blah blah... you know full bolt-ons.
The difference is in the details, my car had low mileage and every stock part was maintained properly. I also employed every old school drag racers trick from over-inflating front tires to staging shallow and everything in between. Getting race weight down to around 3150 plus knowing how to launch it helps too
Point is most morons out there don't think about these details. It doesn't cost money to do all the free mods
BTW it cracks me up that bolt-on LS1 cars get brought up in every thread

I guess that's where I differ from most people who toss random mods at a car while ignoring general maintenance and the laws of physics.

You slapped a blower on cause a stock z06 put the draggin on you. Till then u you thought you were the n/a god. Now low and behold.....there is 2 ls1's in this thread that woulda been right beside your n/a beast.

Nope! Ended up just building another bike and stuff. Would love a C6 though, my buddy parted out his hatch and got a hardtop basemodel LS3 c6. Super jelly.

Lol at Evans reasoning behind a blower just last year it was all about N/A this and that and why boost it when you can go fast N/A
You realize everyone here seen you go through that phase and you're not fooling anyone right....

There are lots of badass ski's out now. Best part is if a girl wants a ride she's already almost naked. A ski should be the first purchase a young man makes.....lol
Well looky there. ....lawass gots muh back

Its incredible that people on this site HAVE to start ****. You try and have a simple normal conversation and people just cant do it. People love to act tough behind a keyboard. It will never cease to amaze me. Oh well. Its not like Im ever going to meet these people. Or want to..

LS1 came out in 97 i'm sure there were plenty of mods for you're car. I mean 5 years of making the ls1 at the point I'm sure you could maybe get it to go somewhat fast like other guys on here.
