Yea, I must say I do love my car even though it runs 15's...........

 

If you were driving a GT, i'd say that's an accomplishment. But in a Cobra? I can't believe you wasted your gas on that thing. There are lots of fast GTPs, but the vast majority of them are no faster than a stock LS-1. Also, there are not many of those out there, so chances are you were running a stock GTP with nothing but a smaller pulley and some gauges...about 260hp. Of course I can't say for sure, but in my area, 99.9% of the fast looking cars are "all show and no go". But they still *** to race me.

 

It clearly states in the Cobra owners manual to seize every kill opportunity and post it on your forum of choice.

 

There's no "waste of gas" vs. any guy running around with a tag reading "kwik-insert car moniker here-," kinda lookin' for trouble with a tag like that.

Although UNIT should use more discretion, picking on family sedans like that with his mean ol' Cobra, sometimes we can't hold ourselves back from a baited opportunity.

 

hey now. the cobra has backseats. that makes it a fair, and appropriate race.

There is a turbo GTP that has ran a 10.3 but its hardly streetable. That is with slicks, wheelie bars, a gutted interior, and a completely custom turbo/manifold setup.

 

I'm the first to admit that I'm not the fastest thing on the street. I just like to have fun. I'd post up if the GTP kicked my ***.

I would have raced him though. I can't find anyone to run me around here.Everytime I see a decent car they are headed the other way.

 

whats the chance you actually pull that time on a street at any given time though? in all honesty, your car has enough ***** to light them up at any point so those two cars would be a great street race. that bonnie just put down a 11.34, which is pretty f'n good considering. its just annoying to see someone with god knows how much money sitting in the most potential motor/car picking on someone with a self humorous license plate, do you kinda see what i mean? i didnt intend to start a flame war but oh well if i did. ive got an old school g body that runs 13s daily driven and you dont see me hunting dont civics that have 4ft wings and plates that say "2fst4u" on them. now if that car came pickin on you and you politely handed him his ***, sure, but i dont remember that scenario.

 

Well, that was much better... though, I would like to point out, it doesnt take much (2kish) to get the kind of power that Unit has in his car... 03 cobras are freaking awesome!!! haha... but I digress...

 

2k really? ****... 2k gets our gtps like...an IC, pulley, intake, chip, and headers back... definately not 11s... but, a sleeper nonetheless

yeah, 03 cobras are dirt cheap to mod... well, you do max out the eaton quickly, but up to that point, all you have to do is get a smaller pulley and exhaust and maybe a chip... and your in the 11's... pretty much, but Unit would know better about the prices and whatnot... ask him...

 

Good kill....But I really love those cars, that is what I want for a daily driver- winter beater. There is a speed shop here in GR called ZZperformance that specializes in GP's and Monte carlos. I saw them at Stanton one day and they had 2 GP's and an Monte all deep in the 11's, pretty sweet cars!!

 

Unit213 put down around 425 RWHP with a chip, pulley, and K&N airfilter.

We're not dissing GTPs. Just saying that anybody who would rather have a GTP than an '03-'04 Cobra for the performance is an idiot. They're great daily drivers, hell I'd love to have one myself, but the Cobra is in a totally different league.
