yeah, it wouldnt call it streetable at all in its racing form, i saw this car up close and personal, my friend with a gtp took his car to the turbo gtp owners house and had rockers installed, ill give it credit, thats quick for a gtp, but then again, as much as beeen swapped outta it and how much is left that comes with a stock gtp from factory......yeah, there isnt anything other than body really, completely redone. and now with my friend putting intercooler on his car, he thinks its gonna be unstoppable, one problem, still a gtp, still a v6, and hes running all his mods, quite a list on guess what, a stock tranny made for hauling your 70 year old relatives around town, so i got a bet going with another friend that his tranny goes this summer with the heat and power combination, should be long thats for sure.... but i do give it credit for what it is, and after alot of money spent, hes down to 13.6. pretty good for that car i must say.

last time i raced him, i had most the mods i do now, and by about 40 i was already pulling on him (spun alot in first and into 2nd, damn bald tires) soon as i got traction in 2nd, i started pulling, and came 3rd and it was all over by then, just walked away until we let off, figured if its over at about 80 or so, why waste more gas keeping my foot in it.

 

I raced the same GTP as Stkorn97 in my at-the-time (and still, basically) bonestock 2003 Z06. The temperature was about 30*F. Well, it sure was funny racing him in 4th gear from 40mph (yes, 4th...didn't feel like downshifting to 2nd and putting the stress on the Z06 for "Grandpa's" satisfaction). He stayed right next to me until about 60-65 when my car walked him....Oh, but I did have 2 gears to spare there....Pre-intercooler days, but oh-noes!

Honestly, the guy's getting on my nerves. What makes a man mod a grocery getter? Just so I know..............

 

Maybe some people enjoy making something fast, as opposed to buying something that's already fast.
