You ARE in the street racing section of this forum, jagoff. You wanna talk about anything outside of this, and you're in the wrong section. Please take your smarter-than-thou, ivy league, more important things concern me than 1/4 mile ET's **** poor attitude out of our forum.

I raced a GTP once, it was a good race. I will have to see if I can dig up the video and post it.

Dood... don't try to play the "i'm a lot smarter than you because I was good at English in High School and can type very well and make you look uneducated" thing. That's my ****. I've been doing that for about a year on this board. You're gonna have to find another style of arguing, or take it to another board.

perhaps, but.... whats wrong with getting fast outta the factory, you have a higher base to start with and then you mod away. Just my .02 i sold my 95 z so i could get a ls1 and start with more horse, why start lower when i can start higher.

I'm not seeing the problem with just buying something that's already fast...

And while he may enjoy making it fast, his other option was a Trans Am when he purchased the GTP and he shot down that idea as he didn't want anything "FAST".

A lot of people don't consider low 13s "fast", including myself. It's a good starting point for the price, though.

Y'all need to chill. Sound (read) like a bunch of ninnies.

EDIT: The above phrase was directed at some long winded posts that were removed.

Oh that is absolutely a challenge A friendly one of course... how close are you to stock right now, unit213? If you are stock or only have minor mods, it might be a good run right now...

... next spring H/C and 383 stroker are planned. We'll have a go at Milan

Nothing's wrong with getting a fast car to start with. But that's not possible for everyone. I remember how badly my wife and I struggled to make ends meet when we first got married. Sometimes you have to settle for less than what you really want, and just be content to upgrade it over time. Plus, there are some folks who just want to drive something different than the rest of the crowd.

An LS1 F-Body would have costed less than what you drive now.

Well the cars i am referring to Velocity, are really race cars. Harlan is planning to run some killer times in his new set up and derty is running in the mid and maybe now bottom nines. They are not really a street car. I was not referring to most of us, who seem to see more 11's then anything. not to mention 12's and 13's as well.

BTW velocity, what is your alititude at your track?? with those numbers, 12's should be no problem, and higher trap as well!

Sea level as far as I know... it's in Michigan. Pretty hilly area towards the middle of the state, but I doubt altitiude has any effect.
