I don't hate on his setup at all. Him acting as if his setup is the norm is what I dislike. 15+ years of re-engineering a car is not exactly an easy process.

Hard to say if a cam would have been enough. Good cam, a fast intake and some weight reduction might be enough though, who knows.

Yea us ford guys don't need aftermarket intakes or heads to get it done.

 

Or EWP, bolt offs, PS pumps, newer starters, etc.

They aren't needed. Mod motor cars have been in the 6's with stock blocks and heads.
