5th gen was much faster than any Mustang GT when it made its debut in 2010. And it's only taken GM a few years to gain back the lead with the 6th gen. Not decades like it did Ford. If you'd even call that a lead. 5th gen is pretty even with 5.0s.

Wrong mr new automach.

The blocks run by Mihovtiz (sp?) are fully modified Ford racing blocks - not stock like you suggest, same with the heads.

Either way 6 seconds cars have absolutely zero bearing in this thread.

I fully agree that *5s cars have nothing to do with this thread.

But...
http://www.accufabracing.com/john-mi...vetz-mustang-2

from linky:
What made John's power and speed so impressive is the small displacement and stock source for major portions of his engine program. Displacement is 282 ci-- call it a stock 4.6 liters-- using a stock aluminum Cobra block; stock old style, "B" dual-port, Four Valve cylinder heads, as found in a '95 Lincoln; and a stock 4.6 liter Cobra crankshaft.

Carry on!

Wtf you gonna swap? You wanna whine about my weight then swap a coyote into a 2600lb notch to compare?

What all do you need for this "swap"? You don't even ******* know. You know what i needed?.......nothing but tge motor. Apparently it's the holy grail of swaps when a engine bolts in like it belongs there with nothing special.....no mounts to change, no wiring to change......**** it even went faster than almost all the coyotes that's ever posted on ls1tech on the ls1 tune

It is very much the norm if you know wtf you're doin. I can see why you don't think it is.

Try using the internet, there is thing called google and you can search stuff. It will bring up lots and lots of lightly modded coyote mustangs in the 11's. And yes a motor swap in a fox isn't really any different than what you did. You know damn well the only reason your car is fast is because you hole sawed 50% of the weight out of it, nothing else.

From what I've seen in the Coyote Stock class, the Coyote motor in a Fox would whip on you Hio. They are running 10.50s at 125mph.

True and they have a huge weight penalty as well now, in 11 and 12 I think when they were the same weight as everyone else they were running 9's, now I think they are even heavier than Hio's car and still running faster.

Pretty desperate when you're comparing a normal street car to motor swapped class racing cars

Very true hammer.

Yea i don't think a coyote swapped fox race car is comparable at all to my car. Besides those cars are leaving at full tilt on slicks with a real racing transmission.....and lighter. Coyote stock has a 3000lb weight.....so more bs spread about by v8queerer who has yet to make a pass in his own car. Link to weight http://www.coyotestock.com/

Furd guys keep reachin for others when their modded coyotes don't run 11's like they say.
