Street racing ain't all about the money

 

You make a lot of sense. I lost to a mustang so I want to race his. You sound like a ford loving *** and I did a quick google of his name on here and it popped up some vids of him getting outran by some pretty slow cars.

 

You sound like someone who has had their *** chapped by a Mustang so you want to get revenge by bringing your race car out to run vs. street cars. No biggie.

 

My 9yo drives this car, it's as mild as a built 4.6.

 

Gary hasn't raced anyone on his current setup. Do you have any weight taken out from anything other than replacing parts, Gary?

 

That's even better, him only trapping mid to upper 80's with a cam is pure **** but then again it is a m1.

 

CarolinaSS, just so you know, I never talk up my car or claimed that it was fast. I post all my races here on LS1Tech, SVT and YouTube whether I win or lose. It does not bother me to lose though since it makes it more rewarding when I do happen to win one. LOL

I bought this car new and never even intended to modify it. Over the years though, I began adding some parts just to see how far I could go NA. It is just a plain street car that goes to car shows and occasional track events. Actually, it is just something I enjoy working on at night in my garage.

I am wondering if you think that I am a Ford nut-hugger or something. If so, just realize I have owned more GM's and Chryslers products over the years. As a matter of fact, this M1 was my first Ford. Previously, I owned a 2001 Z28 and still like F-Body cars which is why I am on LS1Tech.
Just wanted to clear the air.

That's cool. My old car is just an old ragged out 4th gen with budget boltons with a off the shelf cam. It's pretty heavy and so am I. I really thought your car was faster than what it was until I seen your vids. My car at full weight and stock down to the muffler trapped almost the same as yours. I won't tell anyone the exact times of my cam only car but it does run in the 6's in the 1/8 with a 3.23 gear. My built car can barely hang with it even with good heads, but on spray is where it comes alive. Our cars are very similar in mods and mine is a little heavier, I just thought you'd be trapping 95+ in the 1/8 minimum. My cam only car on the street is hell with the converter that everyone said was too big and a poor brand since nobody know the builder I use. People (mainly coyote lovers) on this forum talk **** about a cam only camaro and act like they can't run, I guess my car is the exception. The right cam, converter, and blot ons matter. My **** works good to be a $8000 including mods SS with 120k, but my TA is the beast I usually leave at home and never have to get it out because none of the 4.6 or 5.0 cars run like people say. It's always a surprise when I pull multiple car lengths on any NA car around here, they always say "you sprayed me" until they check my car over. The thing is I just started with something that wanted to rape mustangs and has responded to mods like a champ.

WTF are you talking about? And yeah I let my 9yo drive my cam only car, I was 9yo when I made my first pass down the track in a 68 chevelle SS many ******* years ago.
