It's the longtubes, I swear. Every single hard running MILD modded 5.0, has longtubes. Just last night a local 5.0 beat out a H/C/I/E G8 GT built by Rick Crawford. 5.0 has an AirAid, Longtubes, O/R X and catback. That's it. Car runs HARD.

 

C5 and I ran twice. Wish snake recorded the second run as well - it was even uglier for the C5 because he didn't let out early like the first and I somewhat attempted to peddle the car versus mashing it.

I noticed a nice gain with the LT's, orx, and tune.

 

I typically see 440whp from a full bolt on coyote with a boss, lt's, other bolt ons, and without e85. If long tubes do that much then I think it could be said that those pick up quite a bit more than the other mods done to them. I.e boss intake, cai, tune etc

 

Just because he beat a 116 trapping car from a roll, doesn't mean that he traps 116 or more. Probably at least 113 mph though.

Thanks a lot man. Marc and I said that same thing. I'd likely out trap him because in the quarter I'd get up to speed faster due to being lighter with better gears. I'd say Marc on a tire would be a 113 or 114 car. I wish I had street tires worth a ****, too, so we could have done a lower roll than 40. A roll where I could utilize my first gear would help me a lot.

 

I want to do them badly, but it would be pointless since I'm 88% sure the car will have turbo's next year instead of a Paxton or TVS.

I would agree on LT's picking up more than the others you listed. I noticed a decent gain with my manifold and CAI, but I bet it would be better with the LT's instead. The CAI doesn't really add much from what I've seen. The stock unit is pretty damn nice really.


I bet Marc's car would be every bit of a 116 trap car. Or damn close to it.
